    Hotel Manager (Imo State)

    Salary: ₦100,000 monthly (Take-home)

    About the Role

    We are seeking a dynamic, sales-driven, and culturally aware Hotel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a reputable hotel in Imo State. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of how hotels operate in Eastern Nigeria, with a sharp business acumen, excellent people skills, and the ability to adapt to the prevailing economic realities in the region.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage the hotel’s operations across all departments including front desk, housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance.
    • Develop and implement strategic marketing and visibility initiatives to drive foot traffic, bookings, and increase revenue.
    • Ensure top-tier guest experience while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
    • Identify and execute cost-effective measures without compromising service quality.
    • Drive sales and create local partnerships to promote the hotel within the Imo State community and beyond.
    • Maintain accurate records of finances, operations, and staff performance.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and excellence among staff.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience managing hotel operations, preferably in Eastern Nigeria.
    • Strong knowledge of local customs, customer behavior, and hospitality expectations in the South-East.
    • Excellent sales and marketing skills with a track record of increasing hotel revenue.
    • Ability to analyze market trends and apply innovative strategies to stay competitive.
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and team management abilities.
    • Proficiency in hotel management systems and reporting tools is a plus.
    • Minimum of OND/HND/BSc in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Accountant

    Take-Home Salary: ₦70,000 monthly

    About the Role

    A reputable hotel in Imo State is seeking a skilled and trustworthy Accountant to join its operations team. The ideal candidate must not only be sound in theory but also demonstrate strong practical knowledge of accounting as it specifically applies to hotel operations.

    You will be responsible for managing the hotel’s financial systems, reporting, and compliance, while ensuring cost-effectiveness, operational efficiency, and transparency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate records of all hotel financial transactions.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
    • Manage payroll, vendor payments, and statutory deductions.
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
    • Implement and maintain accounting systems and software for efficient financial management.
    • Liaise with auditors, banks, suppliers, and other stakeholders as needed.
    • Support the management with financial insights to aid decision-making.

    Requirements

    • HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2–4 years proven accounting experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
    • High level of integrity and accountabilityreferences required to verify character and professionalism.
    • Strong proficiency in modern accounting tools/software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or hotel PMS accounting modules).
    • Good command of Microsoft Excel and general IT literacy.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Preferred Attributes

    • Familiarity with the economic realities of the South-East and cost-saving practices in the hospitality sector.
    • Practical understanding of inventory and revenue management in hotel settings.
