    Gender Based Violence Case Officer

    Our client, who is a technology company that builds predictive models using expansive data on local contexts to keep people, businesses and governments ahead of pressing challenges is looking to hire a Gender Based Violence Case Officer - Call Center in Lagos

    Job Summary

    Their new mobile application – Area! is a free to download incident sharing and verification tool to keep people safe. Our client is using Area! as an AI mobile reporting tool to conduct data science into gender-based violence during and post-COVID-19 in Nigeria to improve survivor access to justice and care. The call center will work to provide case management, therapy and referrals for offline cases.

    The responsibilities of a Gender Based Violence Case Officer include handling sensitive information, preparing reports and ensuring all referrals are attended to and cases appropriately closed.

    Manager/Reporting Line: Gender Based Violence Case Supervisor

    Duties

    • Provide GBV case management and psychosocial support to vulnerable persons, particularly survivors of gender-based violence.
    • Case Management by assessment of needs, implementation of an action plan and management of the action plan to ensure appropriate follow up/revision and case closure when appropriate.
    • Maintain accurate records, and beneficiaries’ files to maximize confidentiality and safety.
    • Contribute to updates of mapping of service providers within the area of intervention to ensure that the team is informed of all relevant and available services.
    • Provide appropriate referral services to survivors including emergency response services, medical services, legal support, technology tools, therapy support, volunteer networks and others.
    • Follow up all referred cases to ensure appropriate services have been provided to the survivor and report gaps in referral services to the GBV Manager for action.
    • Prepare, engage and document case management technical meetings, case review meetings and referral coordination meetings, if needed.
    • Submit case management reports on a weekly and monthly basis or as assigned by the supervisors.
    • Work in teams to conduct quarterly analysis of GBV related incidences trends, referral gaps and related information, and present reports to the GBV Case Manager.
    • Attend our client's trainings accordingly.

    QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

    • Education to degree level in Psychology, Sociology, Gender Studies, Social Works, etc.
    • 2 years demonstrated experience in GBV case management.
    • Experience in conducting service mapping and referral pathways

    SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

    • Language: Speak, read and write in multiple local languages
    • IT tools: Microsoft – Excel and PowerPoint, Sage, Power BI etc.
    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Case Supervisor will provide oversight and management of dedicated survivor call center.

    The responsibilities of a Gender Based Violence Case Supervisor include ensuring that all cases are appropriately addressed, prepare reports and ensure all referrals are attended to and cases appropriately closed.

    Manager/Reporting Line: Chief Operations Officer

    Duties

    • Oversee and supervise GBV case officers and case management.
    • Train GBV call centre staff on SOPs and guiding principles for addressing GBV cases.
    • Provide counselling and psychosocial support to survivors on cases escalated beyond the call centre case officers.
    • Analyze trends of GBV and develop/adjust case management strategies to meet needs.
    • Manage staff roster to ensure the call centre constantly operates at full capacity.
    • Ensure timely and accurate information management, analysis, dissemination, and reporting through monthly and quarterly       reports.
    • Strengthen internal and external referral systems for cases of GBV, ensure smooth interface with partner agencies/organizations.
    • Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibility when need be.

    Minimum requirements

    • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Sociology, Gender Studies, Social Works, Public Health, International Development, etc.
    • At least 5 years' experience in counselling and supporting GBV survivors.
    • Supervisory experience both in direct and technical line management. Additional requirements – candidates with the below qualifications will be preferred

    QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience of supervising and overseeing S/GBV case management.
    • Familiar with the standards and guidelines of GBV programs and coordination, including Preventing Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Sphere Guidelines.

    SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

    • IT tool – Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Sage, Power Bi, etc.
    • Communication – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Fluency in English and any other local languages in Nigeria.
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and team working skills.
    • Good cultural awareness and sensitivity.
    • Clear understanding of gender abuse of power and issues surrounding violence against women and girls.

    Business Development Manager - South East/South South

    JOB SUMMARY

    As Business Development Manager, you will self-generate leads as well as follow up on leads as required. He/she would follow up on prospects to close Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). This position would require travel on a regular basis to meet with potential clients. You would be a new business hunter who is happy to work autonomously as well as part of a business development team. You will report to the Country Business Development Manager. This role is principally external and customer-facing. From our regional office located at Asaba, Delta State, you will look for credible customers in the commercial or industrial sectors in Asaba, Onitsha, Owerri, Nnewi, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Aba, and surroundings.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinating the execution of the marketing/business development plans and developing sales strategies for the assigned area.
    • Responsible for identifying, implementing ‘operational sales plans’ annually, and achieving the objectives in terms of execution of power purchase agreements.
    • Establishing and implementing a structured market plan, in cooperation with the Business Development Manager, aimed at targeting and maintaining contacts with prospects, customers, and associates.
    • Follow the sales process by taking responsibility for projects from the acquisition phase to commissioning.
    • Support the business development effort with market input through customer visits and monthly reports.
    • Integrate into the head office teams with an overview perspective of the business challenges and opportunities.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • At least 7-10 years of sales and marketing experience working with major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for gas and/or diesel generator sales companies or IPP companies operating in the Eastern part of Nigeria. (Experience in Compressed Natural Gas sales is an added advantage).
    • Must possess a Tertiary degree
    • Should have a track record working in the Power and Gas industries.
    • Candidates should come from any of the Eastern States, be living in the region, and must be able to speak Igbo
