    Fleet Manager

    Job Description

    • Fleet managers are responsible for assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet, maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency, among other duties.

    Responsibilities

    • Purchasing and maintaining vehicles for deliveries.
    • Deciding whether to lease or buy vehicles.
    • Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.
    • Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
    • Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.
    • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management.
    • Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits.
    • Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
    • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
    • Complying with Transport laws and regulations.
    • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
    • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
    • Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
    • Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Logistics or Accounting.
    • 2+ years in a logistics role.
    • Experience in the transportation industry.

    • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
    • Quantitative ability.

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

    Office Assistant

    Job Description

    • Office Assistant provides support to managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.
    • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (envelopes, packages, etc.)
    • Answer the phone to take messages or redirect calls to appropriate colleagues.
    • Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.
    • Undertake basic bookkeeping tasks and issue invoices, checks etc.
    • Take minutes of meetings and dictations
    • Assist in office management and organization procedures.
    • Monitor stocks of office supplies (paper clips, stationery etc.) and report when there are shortages.
    • Assist in making travel arrangements and booking venues for conferences and events.
    • Perform other office duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • High School Certificate  with 2 - 4 years work experience.
    • Proven experience as office clerk or other clerical position.

    • Working knowledge of office devices and processes.
    • A fast typist with knowledge in stenography and taking dictations.
    • Very good knowledge of MS Office.

    Dispatch Rider

    Job Description

    • A Dispatch rider delivers items to customers by verifying orders; inventorying stock; arranging transportation. The dispatch rider will be responsible for outdoor and indoor delivery, sending & collecting of official documents, materials, packages and bulky items etc as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Keeps customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, and current status; answering questions.
    • Responsible for contacting customers to verify delivery address.
    • Responsible for picking up items and delivering them safely to customers on time.
    • Responsible for collecting monies for bought items upon delivery to the customer.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
    • 2 - 4 years work experience.
    • Proven experience as a dispatch rider or relevant position.
    • Familiarity with relevant routes.
    • Must enjoy motorcycling and be a skilled rider.
    • Ability to communicate, read and write.
    • Organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Have good numeracy skills for delivery and expenses records.
    • Polite and able to get along with people.
