    Fashion Designer, Supervisor

    Role Overview

    • As a Fashion Designer, you will play a crucial role in conceptualizing, designing, and creating clothing and accessories that align with current fashion trends and brand aesthetics.
    • Your creative vision, attention to detail, and understanding of market trends will contribute to the development of unique and appealing collections that resonate with customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conceptualization and Design:

    • Research and analyze fashion trends, cultural influences, and consumer preferences to develop innovative design concepts.
    • Create sketches, mood boards, and design prototypes to visualize and communicate your ideas effectively.
    • Interpret and execute tech packs correctly with reference to designs/mockup.
    • Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and refine design concepts.

    Material Selection:

    • Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials that align with the design vision and garment functionality.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of fabric properties, textures, and qualities to ensure optimal material choices.

    Pattern Making and Garment Construction:

    • Develop accurate patterns for garments based on your design sketches.
    • Oversee the construction process to ensure that garments are assembled according to the desired specifications and fit.

    Prototype Creation:

    • Create sample garments to test design concepts, patterns, and fabric combinations.
    • Evaluate and adjust prototypes for fit, comfort, and aesthetics.

    Trend Analysis and Market Research:

    • Stay updated on industry trends, fashion forecasts, and emerging styles.
    • Conduct market research to identify target audiences and their preferences.

    Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to align design concepts with brand strategies and customer demands.

    • Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure smooth production processes.

    Collection Development:

    • Develop seasonal collections with a cohesive theme, color palette, and design narrative.
    • Ensure that each collection has a variety of styles to cater to different customer preferences.

    Presentation:

    • Present design concepts and collections to stakeholders, including senior management and potential buyers.
    • Articulate your design ideas, inspirations, and the unique features of each collection.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • A Degree in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred.
    • 3 - 5 years work experience. 
    • Strong artistic and creative abilities, with a keen eye for color, shape, and proportion.
    • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.
    • Knowledge of pattern making, garment construction techniques, and sewing.
    • Excellent communication skills to convey ideas and collaborate effectively.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends and a passion for staying ahead of the curve.
    • Problem-solving skills to address challenges in design, production, and fit.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all aspects of design and execution.

    Procurement Officer

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team in the fashion/garment industry.
    • The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, fabrics, accessories, and equipment essential for our production processes.
    • This position requires a keen eye for quality, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.

    Key Responsibilities
    Vendor Selection and Management:

    • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery speed.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady and reliable supply chain.

    Sourcing and Negotiation:

    • Source and procure raw materials, fabrics, trims, and equipment required for production.
    • Negotiate favorable terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
    • Monitor market trends and pricing to secure competitive advantages.

    Inventory Management:

    • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials while minimizing excess stock.
    • Implement efficient inventory control strategies to reduce carrying costs and wastage.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Collaborate closely with quality control teams to ensure that all purchased materials meet quality specifications.
    • Address quality issues with suppliers and work towards solutions and improvements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
    • 2 - 4 years work experience.
    • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer in the fashion/garment industry.
    • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
