Job Summary

To provide Facilities Engineering support/services to the operations of the organization.

Main Responsibilities

• Contract bid evaluation and analysis.
• Prepare monthly cash calls for facilities engineering.
• Follow up on any facilities engineering issues with Joint Venture Partners.
• Develop project plans including engineering design/procurement, fabrication, vendor mobilization, offshore construction, and commissioning
• Manages the interface and communication processes between parties on all project activities
• Assist the operational and technical teams in planning and implementation of projects in line with the approved budget.
• Ensure that the facility’s work program is strictly followed and performed accordingly.
• Generate necessary and relevant scope of work and documentation to back up budget work programs for Joint Venture Partners’ approval.
• Responsible for defending facilities engineering budget and performance with Joint Venture Partners. 
• Follow up on all facilities engineering-related projects in the field and generate reports for all stakeholders. 
• Develop and grow any business relationships vital to the implementation of facilities work programs.
• Participate in all facilities engineering activities in the field
• To perform any other activities that may be assigned from time to time.
• Manages project budgets/costs
• Ensures all activities are in line with industry and company engineering standards
• Make offshore and onshore site visits to check on progress
• Report any breaches of safety procedures to supervision/management
• Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies, and procedures, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
• Continuously review, manage, monitor, and control all facilities’ construction plans and their implementation/execution to ensure a consistent and cost-effective approach to the construction activities

Educational Qualifications & Other Requirements

• University degree in any engineering discipline
• 5 years in the upstream oil and gas industry
• Knowledge of construction of flowlines, pipelines, storage tanks, drilling location preparation, and other facilities’ engineering works.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have a proven track record of field experience in facilities engineering.
• Good contracting and contract management skills.
• Ability to use initiatives and good methodological approach to work processes.
• Must demonstrate a good knowledge of project management and contract administration, flowlines and pipelines construction, facilities maintenance, and drilling location site preparation.
• Knowledge of construction of flowlines, pipelines, storage tanks, drilling location preparation, and other facilities engineering works.
• Competence in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of Programmes.
• Proficiency in Project administration and management

JOB SUMMARY:

•  Provide the Well Engineering upfront input into the concepts, opportunity framing, field development plans, and economics of project opportunity development to create value and lifecycle profitability of Company’s oil and gas portfolio. Carry out technical design and prepare Well Technical specification document to form basis for Well Programme.
• Prepare well programmes and support the oversight of well construction activities and end-of-well reports.

MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Carry out preliminary technical well designs and planning using most current approved standards and procedures and prepare well programme.
• Incorporate specifications and standards for HSE critical elements and technical uncertainties in well types, well concepts and technologies recommended for the opportunity, to identify upfront the Right well and optimum development option.
• Incorporate the project Well Engineering input into field reviews, opportunity framing, field development plans and economics to ensure overall profitability and reduction in Unit Development Cost.
• Prepare Well Programmes and Well Cost Estimates.
• Monitor daily well construction activities to ensure well engineering considerations and design criteria selected during the planning phase are applied to mitigate value erosion and realise the identified savings.
• Prepare End-of-well Operation Reports and End of Well Summaries.
• Participate in contracting processes, providing input into Scope of work (SOW) and Invitation to Tender (ITT), and handle associated tender board issues.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A degree qualification in engineering or physical sciences discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years industry experience with an Operating Company with relevant experience in drilling and well completion operations offshore, especially with Jack-up Work Units.
• Excellent technical and communication skills with emphasis on teamwork.
• A willingness to undertake frequent and sometimes extended visits to field locations and vendor bases.
