    Job Summary

    • Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to identify business needs, analyze processes, and deliver data-driven recommendations.
    • The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective implementation of solutions that align with organizational goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
    • Process Improvement: Evaluate existing business processes and recommend innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
    • Data Analysis: Analyze data, trends, and KPIs to support decision-making and identify opportunities for growth.
    • Solution Development: Work closely with IT and functional teams to design and implement effective business solutions.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and process modeling tools.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) is a plus.
    • Relevant certifications in Business Analysis/ Project management are highly desirable.

    Job Description

    • The Head of Actuarial Services is a senior leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of all actuarial activities.
    • This includes leading pricing, reserving, and risk management functions to ensure the company’s financial soundness and regulatory compliance.
    • The role demands strong analytical capabilities, industry expertise, and a forward-thinking approach to optimize profitability and manage risk in a dynamic market environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement actuarial strategies to support the company’s financial and business objectives.
    • Lead the pricing of insurance products, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
    • Oversee the valuation of insurance reserves and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Provide actuarial insights to support strategic decision-making, including risk assessment, capital management, and investment planning.
    • Collaborate with underwriting and product development teams to design innovative insurance solutions.
    • Develop and maintain robust actuarial models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with industry standards.
    • Prepare detailed actuarial reports and communicate key findings to senior management and the board.
    • Monitor and manage risk exposures, implementing measures to mitigate financial risks effectively.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in actuarial practices.
    • Mentor and develop a high-performing actuarial team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
    • Fellowship or Associate membership in a recognized actuarial professional body (e.g., SOA, CAS, or IFoA).
    • Minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the insurance industry.
    • Proven expertise in pricing, reserving, risk management, and financial modeling.
    • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the insurance industry.
    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience engaging with executive leadership and regulatory bodies.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
