    Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

    Job Summary

    • Plan and coordinate design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation and control systems for offshore field production units. 

    Key Responsibilties

    • Provide engineering analysis, review design and supervise installation and commissioning activities for Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) related projects.
    • Support the design, troubleshooting, analysis, installation, performance assurance and proactive health checks of E&I systems such as Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), analyzers, electrical power distribution systems, rotating equipment control and monitoring systems, PLC control & instruments, HART instruments, field measurement instruments, Fire and Gas (F&G) systems etc.
    • Assess and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and Effects Matrix (C&E); Process Flow Scheme (PFS); Functional Logic Diagram (FLD); Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD) and Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS), logic diagrams required for fault tracing and issues resolutions.
    • Conduct technical studies of existing E&I systems, provide guidance for technical inquiries, issue technical recommendations, partake in equipment and system troubleshooting, improve E&I engineering tools and support the development and improvement of E&I engineering work processes.
    • Liaise with equipment manufacturers and carry out failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on all E&I related issues.
    • Assist with management of project interfaces and associated material takeoffs/ cost estimates, installation, integration and commissioning.
    • Provide assurance on commissioning of electrical equipment (both Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test)
    • Contribute to up-to-date plans and asset strategies for electrical systems and develop and maintain electrical standards.
    • Verify that E&I related procurement activities are undertaken in compliance with technical specifications and contractual requirements.
    • Develop and review work procedures in line with manufacturers specification and industry codes for Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
    • Support the FPSO site teams as requested, including drafting working procedures, maintenance programs, guide to effectively operate specific installations and equipment such as all standard instrumentation as well as (but not limited to) metering systems, High-Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS), F&G systems etc. while providing associated logistic support.
    • Conduct periodic audit to ensure that all switching of LV and HV is in accordance with operational procedures, safety principles, legal requirements and that all registers are maintained accurately.
    • Pay periodic visits to the offshore site and participate in the jobs as required; may be involved in operational works including major shutdowns. May be incorporated into maintenance working shifts, as required during major operations.
    • Manage the relevant vendor activities, materials, spares and performance including input to the asset planning process.
    • Implement, integrate and review planned maintenance programs on electrical systems to meet statutory and vendor requirements, ensuring that all work is accurately recorded.
    • Control the condition of E&I materials in warehouses, take necessary actions for improvement as needed.
    • Provide instrumentation, controls and electrical engineering support for process units within process facilities. This will require collaboration with Operations, Maintenance and other technical functions within Company’s assets.
    • Support the management of change process for instrumentation, controls and electrical design packages and associated changes.
    • Provide active remote support working with Operations and other technical teams to scope instrumentation and electrical repairs and troubleshoot issues in process plants.

    Professional Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or any relevant engineering discipline from a reputable tertiary institution.
    • At least Second-Class Upper grade
    • A Second-Class Lower grade can be considered for candidates with advanced degrees (MSc, or equivalent).
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an added advantage.

    Knowledge and Skill Required:

    • 7 - 10 years’ oil and gas industry experience as a member of a project management team.
    • Good knowledge of electrical safety codes, Electrical Hazardous area classification codes, international electrical codes, standards & specifications related to electrical facilities for offshore field production units.
    • Strong background in instrumentation and electrical engineering.
    • Proven knowledge in various instruments and controls technologies and F&G systems used in oil & gas Installations.
    • Knowledge in metering systems and concepts will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and in a diversified work environment.
    • Pro-active and flexible person.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications i.e., Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Ms Project.

    Terminal Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • Oversee cargo operations and all deck-related marine activities on the FPSO.

    Key Responsibilties

    • Supervise all cargo, ballast and offloading operations.
    • Apply detailed knowledge of cargo planning, tank preparation, loading, stowage, discharging, sampling of cargo and the preparation of reports and records according to approved standard marine practices.
    • Ensure proper documentation of FPSO cargo, ballast and produced water management activities to protect the company’s interests with respect to international and local regulations and custody transfer.
    • Have technical capacity to develop written plans for all aspects of cargo management and be able to designate manning resources to ensure efficient and effective coverage.
    • Detect challenges on the cargo handling systems and equipment and work with relevant O&M contractor team when necessary to correct them.
    • Supervise FPSO maintenance department to align manpower and other resource priorities and will actively contribute to planning FPSO strategy under the direction of the FPSO CAR.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and procedures such enclosed space entry, hot work, lockout/tagout, pollution prevention, working aloft, safe lifting etc.
    • Apply knowledge of the requirements of various applicable local and international regulations and standards such as Flag state, MARPOL, SOLAS, Class society etc and ensure that the FPSO complies with these requirements.
    • Prepare the FPSO for various inspections by relevant authorities.
    • Apply technical capacity when required to act as second in command of the FPSO when necessary, in the FPSO CAR’s absence.
    • Manage all aspects of the deck department to achieve goals set by the overall FPSO organization and maintenance strategy while acting as a member of the FPSO management team.
    • Assist the FPSO CAR to mentor and develop the marine/cargo personnel in all the aspects of cargo and deck operations, particularly when they are new to the position.
    • Manage and motivate junior operators and crew to achieve required results.

    Professional Qualifications

    • HND / B.Sc Degree or equivalent in Marine, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, or any relevant engineering discipline
    • Minimum of Lower Credit/Second Class Lower.
    • Certificate of competency as Deck Officer – minimum Chief Officer license is required.

    Knowledge and Skill Required:

    • 10 years sea service onboard ocean-going crude oil or product tanker vessel.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience at Chief Officer rank or equivalent offshore experience.
    • Candidates should have some background or general understanding of LACT Unit and Cargo operations. 
    • Must have good proficiency with MS Office suite – Excel/Power point/Word.
    • Excellent understanding of the oil and gas industry.
    • Strong technical and analytical skills.
    • Must have BOSIET / HUET training

    Production Engineer

    Job Summary

    • Production Optimization and Well Surveillance.

    Key Responsibilties

    • Integrated production system modeling for production optimization using GAP software.
    • Daily well surveillance and hydrocarbon accounting
    • Well test review and validation.
    • Daily well by well production allocation.
    • Design, analysis, optimization and troubleshooting of ESP wells.
    • Design for gas lift start-up and continuous monitoring of gas lift operations.

    Knowledge and Skill Required:

    • 5 - 8 years oil and gas industry experience in Production Engineering
    • Understands and solves basic well problems with no guidance
    • Proficiency in the use of integrated production modeling tools
    • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and in a diversified work environment.
