    Draftsman

    Description

    • As a Draftsman, you will prepare accurate technical drawings and documentation to support the planning, execution, and commissioning of engineering projects.
    • This role requires familiarity with engineering principles, with preference for candidates who have prior Project Engineer experience, enabling them to understand project requirements and produce drawings that are technically sound and construction-ready.
    • You will work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and site teams to translate engineering designs into detailed drawings that meet company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.

    Responsibilities
    Technical Drawing & Drafting:

    • Prepare 2D and 3D engineering drawings for electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems.
    • Translate technical specifications, calculations, and project requirements into accurate drawings.
    • Update drawings to reflect design revisions, site modifications, and approved change requests.
    • Maintain drawing accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company standards and industry codes.

    Project Coordination Support:

    • Collaborate with Project Engineers to ensure drawings are aligned with project scope and feasibility.
    • Assist in reviewing design documents to verify technical accuracy before execution.
    • Support the preparation of technical documentation for tenders, RFQs, and project submissions.
    • Participate in site inspections to validate as-built conditions against drawings.

    Documentation & Quality Control:

    • Maintain proper revision control and drawing registers.
    • Ensure drawings are consistent in format, symbols, and technical annotation.
    • Support internal quality checks and audits by providing required drawing documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and relevant regulatory standards.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Recommend improvements to drafting processes and documentation practices.
    • Stay updated with the latest drafting software, engineering standards, and design tools.
    • Contribute to standardization of drawing templates and libraries across projects.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Diploma, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
    • 3–6 years drafting experience in oil & gas, industrial, or engineering projects.
    • Prior experience as a Project Engineer or involvement in project execution is strongly preferred.
    • Familiarity with as-built documentation and construction-ready drawings.
    • Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards in engineering projects.

    Key Knowledge and Behavioural Competencies Required:
    Technical:

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with other drafting/design software.
    • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation engineering principles.
    • Ability to interpret project specifications, calculations, and engineering drawings.
    • Understanding of project execution workflows and construction practices.

    Project Manager

    Job Summary

    • As Project Manager, you are responsible for the full lifecycle management of engineering projects within the Projects and Engineering Department. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
    • You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage project risks, and oversee engineering, procurement, and execution activities to achieve successful project outcomes. The role demands strong technical knowledge, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.

    Job Responsibilities
    Project Planning & Execution:

    • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
    • Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Allocate resources effectively and monitor project progress against plan.
    • Ensure engineering, installation, and commissioning activities are completed to specification.
    • Identify deviations and implement corrective actions to meet project objectives.

    Team Leadership & Coordination:

    • Lead project teams including engineers, coordinators, and vendors to achieve objectives.
    • Mentor and guide team members to ensure technical and operational excellence.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
    • Conduct regular team meetings, technical reviews, and progress evaluations.

    Budget, Cost & Risk Management:

    • Monitor project budgets, costs, and resource utilization.
    • Approve procurement requests and validate cost estimates.
    • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
    • Track project profitability and ensure financial performance aligns with targets.

    Stakeholder & Client Management:

    • Serve as the primary interface for clients, vendors, and contractors.
    • Lead project status meetings, presentations, and technical reviews.
    • Ensure timely communication of project progress, risks, and changes.
    • Manage change requests, variations, and contract compliance.

    Compliance, Quality & Safety:

    • Ensure adherence to company policies, QHSE standards, and regulatory requirements (DPR/NOSDRA).
    • Conduct technical and quality inspections on project deliverables.
    • Support audits and ensure project documentation is complete and compliant.
    • Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

    Experience, Knowledge, and Technical Skills Required
    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Project Management-related discipline.
    • 7–10 years’ experience managing engineering projects in oil & gas, industrial, or large-scale projects.
    • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
    • PMP/CAPM certification or equivalent is preferred.
    • HSE Level II/III certification desirable.
    • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating external contractors/vendors.

    Key Knowledge and Behavioral Competencies Required
    Technical:

    • Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems.
    • Strong project management expertise (scheduling, budgeting, reporting).
    • Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and project tracking tools.
    • Understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulatory frameworks.
    • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and propose practical solutions.

    Behavioral:
