    Diesel Mechanic

    Purpose

    • To maintain all Flour Mills Nigeria caterpillars under the guidance of the Heavy Equipment Supervisor in accordance with the standards.

    The Job

    • Carry out proper and supervised maintenance on all Cranes to ensure that they are performing optimally.
    • Ensure that the workshop is kept clean in line with the company’s Health, Safety and Environment policy for effective output.
    • Report on all Crane repairs and maintenance activities to the Heavy Equipment Supervisor for reference purposes.
    • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and related components.
    • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
    • Inspect and test vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Identify mechanical problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
    • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

    Qualifications

    • 5 O’ level Credits including English & Mathematics in not more than two sittings/Technical qualifications.

    Experience:​

    • Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience.

    The Person Must Have:

    • Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components used in industrial and automotive equipment.
    • Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered machines, including engines, pumps, and generators.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service diagrams, and mechanical schematics.
    • Strong adherence to safety procedures and good workshop practices in all repair and maintenance activities.

    Packing Operator

    Purpose

    • To Ensure that all packing materials are made available for smooth packing operations as may be required in line with the company’s set targets.

    The Job

    • Collection of packing materials for the store.
    • Safekeeping of materials received from the store for use.
    • Ensure effective loading and delivery of all finished products.
    • Oversees the operation on the Assistant Packing Machine Operator
    • Maintain housekeeping and sanitation in the factory to assure a clean and hygienic environment for production.
    • Participate in routine maintenance of the factory to ensure optimal operation of machineries.
    • Load and unload items into packaging machines during operations and remove rejected packages.
    • Carry out Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies in the factory.
    • Generate and maintain reports on all production activities for the attention of line supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • 5 O’ level Credits including English & Mathematics in not more than two sittings.

    Experience:​

    • Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience.

    The Person Must:

    • Have  good and written communication skills.
    • Have strong attention to detail and be highly organized in handling packing materials and finished products.
    • Have basic supervisory ability to support and guide packers and loaders during operations.
    • Understand inventory management principles for proper material handling and safekeeping.
    • Have a quality-focused mindset to ensure that all products are properly packed and meet standards.

    Milling Assistant

    PURPOSE

    To support the achievement of BU goals by providing effective assistance for efficient milling operations.

    THE JOB

    • Sample and analyze of flour streams.
    • Take measurement of wheat and wheat products level in the storage silos.
    • Compliance to all Health & Safety regulations.
    • Carry out daily GMP checks optimal capacity utilization.
    • Routine monitoring of cleaning machines and maintenance
    • Carry out essential production (breakdown and preventive) maintenance in order to minimize downtime.
    • Documentation of process reading and quality analysis report.
    • Assist with mill maintenance activities.
    • Maintain good housekeeping & hygiene of the mill.
    • Ensure compliance with HSE rules

    THE PERSON MUST

    • Have  good and written communication skills.
    • Have basic technical knowledge of milling operations, including sampling, measurement, and simple product analysis.
    • Have strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data recording, product sampling, and compliance with quality standards.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • OND in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or any related technical field.

    Electrical Technician

    PURPOSE

    To support operational efficiency and achievement of BU objectives by carrying out repairs and preventive maintenance ( Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures) within the factory and offices.

    THE JOB

    • Participate in the installation of new equipment and machinery in the factory and offices.
    • Carry out routine preventive maintenance on all electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures in the factory and offices.
    • Perform routine inspection on electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and ensure compliance with safety codes.
    • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
    • Identify electrical equipment and appliances that could cause potential hazards and recommend for relocation or replacement.
    • Ensure good housekeeping and maintenance of electrical appliances and fittings in compliance with GMP and HSE standards.

    THE PERSON MUST

    • Have  good and written communication skills.
    • Have strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, controls, fixtures, and industrial electrical installations.
    • Have ability to install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and appliances within factory and office environments.
    • Have strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inspections, proper documentation, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Have strong problem-solving skills to identify electrical hazards, propose solutions, and prevent equipment failures.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Mechnical Technician

    PURPOSE

    To support operational efficiency and achievement of BU objectives by carrying out repair and preventative maintenance on assigned machines and systems

    THE JOB

    • Conduct maintenance work on packing machines, carousel, packing conveyor, elevators and all assigned machines and systems
    • Repair any fault or damage in the machine and site as assigned.
    • Carry out assigned task in installation and fabrication.
    • Carry out planned maintenance jobs in line with schedule.
    • Work efficiently and effectively to Minimize downtime during repairs.
    • Report any malfunction or damage items to the superior.
    • Keep proper record of time taken for job completion, spare parts replaced and report observations in the logbook and the work order
    • Carry out Planned preventive maintenance according to schedule using checklist/work order.
    • Take responsibility for personal safety and that of others when carrying out any assignment.

    THE PERSON MUST

    • Have  good and written communication skills.
    • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including gears, shafts, bearings, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
    • Hands-on skills in installation, fitting, alignment, and mechanical assembly of industrial machines.
    • Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify mechanical faults quickly and effectively.
    • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, engineering diagrams, and machine manuals.

    QUALIFICATIONS
