    Financial Director

    Job Function
    To support the Managing Director of an operating company in the formulation and execution of strategy as well as to take accountability for an operating company’s financial health by planning, analysing, advising and reporting on financial strengths and weaknesses to improve financial performance, alignment to financial governance and the unit’s risk profile.

    Key performance areas

    Functional

    • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly reporting to Imperial is submitted accurately and on time
    • Cash management
    • Debtors management
    • Monthly GL reconciliations
    • Creditors management
    • Ensure adherence to legal and statutory requirements
    • Develop, implement and ensure compliance with the group’s financial processes, policies and disciplines
    • Continuous improvement of internal financial and operational processes
    • Assist the Managing Director with managing the company’s specific business risks
    • Update of costing model
    • Manage all IT requirements and continuous improvement of internal systems

    Strategic

    • Provide strategic direction to the business
    • Key team member in the implementation and monitoring of company’s strategic plan
    • Manage and enhance all relevant result indicators with a specific focus on:
    1. Return on invested capital
    2. Working capital
    3. Net debt
    4. Operating margin
    5. And other relevant measurements and indicators
    •  Enhance management reporting
    •  Ensuring good results to internal and external audits
    • Monitor internal controls: financial and operational
    • Play a key role in strategy, analysis and forecasting
    • Culture
    • Assist in preparation of tender costings
    • Prepare annual budgets and strategic plans

    Qualifications required

    • Charted Accountant or related financial qualification
    • At least 5-10 years’ experience in an asset light logistics business
    • Meticulous, detailed, well organised and able to work independently
    • Assertive with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)

    Skills and experience required

    • Sound knowledge of Nigerian Taxation Legislation, FIRS, IAS, IFRS and Companies Act
    • Strong financial, taxation and auditing skills
    • Relevant Labour Legislation
    • Conceptual, analytical and strategic problem solving skill

    Senior Consultant, Strategy & External Relations

    Our client, a reknown business consulting firm is in need of a Senior Consultant, Strategy & External Relations.

    Job Brief

    The Senior Consultant’s key responsibilities will include creating a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment with the aim of winning new businesses as well as managing the strategic development of client solutions. In addition, he/she will be responsible for nurturing the organization’s positive external profile by acting as an outward facing thought leader. He/she will be responsible for maintaining and growing company's business and client base on an ongoing and project basis, creating and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, developing strategic solutions and plans that best fit the organization and clients’ needs.

    In this role, successfull candidate will manage the consulting process to ensure that clients and agency are aligned on key performance metrics, establishing realistic engagement goals, providing accountability through reporting and analytics, and providing optimized strategies moving forward. He/she will also ensure that the company provides:

    Innovator and influencer level communications and content.

    As the Senior Consultant, Strategy & External Relations he/she will have overall responsibility for leading client strategic services effort. Within the organization, he/she recommendations and deliverables and manage the relationship with new and existing assigned clients, faculty, media partners and potential partners.

    Responsibilities

    This role covers all aspects of a project from the beginning stages through to completion, proposals and clients interfacing. This includes:

    • Initiate strategy and operational framework for the execution of all TPC projects and businesses/income streams in line with the vision of the company.
    • Provide direction on strategy in the development of client briefs with Research Development Consultant and Business Development Consultants.
    • Initiate client pitches and new projects for the short term and long term sustainability of the company (and her offshoots or subsidiaries)
    • Identify business opportunities in line with the broader vision of the company
    • Interface with clients and ensure implementation of decisions and communication of same details to clients, working with the Research Development Consultant, Business Development Consultant and Programs Consultant
    • Identifying the right opportunities across industry sectors and partnerships that align with the company's ongoing strategy;
    • Maintaining and developing prospective client and key strategic partners network;
    • Developing integrated strategies and tactical plans to meet and exceed the client’s business goals and objectives;
    • Generating and driving insight for internal and client audiences around media, brands, consumers, and experiences;
    • Representing ThistlePraxis at conferences, events and symposiums;
    • Supervising research, analyses and insights into latest industry trends; XII. Positioning ThistlePraxis with key industry influencers and thought leaders;
    • Leading and managing new business prospects;
    • Growing and developing existing client accounts;
    • Providing direction on strategy in the development of client briefs with Research Team;
    • Double as Media Liaison or Public Affairs and Communication Officer XVII. Provide regular progress reports to CEO

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4+ years’ work experience including some management experience in a professional services firm
    • MBA/Masters/Certification in a sustainability/communications related field
    • Typical experience in Sustainability, communication, sustainable development, consulting, thought leadership
    • Knowledge & skills - Business Management, Communication, Sustainability and Sustainable Development
    • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities

    Director of Technical Operations

    Details:

    Our client is a media organisation in need of Director of Technical Operations.

    The ideal candidate must be well versed in the following areas;

    • Technical Skills / Experience 
    • General IT operations - network architecture, internet service management, servers, storage, hardware and software configurations, etc.
    • Broadcast engineering in Radio & TV - Production Control Rooms (PCR), Master Control Rooms (MCR), Ingest, Electronic News Gathering (ENG), Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG), Radio Studio operations.
    • Coordination and Management of all Radio Frequency (RF) operations - Mast, Transmission equipment and Transmitter operations.
    • Management of all TV Studio Operations - Cameras, Lighting, Video editing and Inventory management.
    • Support and Maintenance of all Broadcast & IT Infrastructure - Generators, Chillers /AC's, Electrical, etc.

    People Skills

    • Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership experience and must be people manager 

    Expected years of experience

    • Between 5 - 10 years in a similar senior role   

    Qualification 

    • Minimum of Bsc.degree in relevant course.
    • Other relevant certified training.
