    Creative Director

    Job Description

    Creative Objectives:

    • Must be heavily slanted and proficient in digital marketing communications. Operate at expert level in this space.
    • Oversee the design and creative development of enterprise-wide brand guidelines, digital programs, and audio-visual communications.
    • Provide vision and clarity to creative team members to ensure creative solutions for client needs and strategies.
    • Manage agency partnerships and external vendors to ensure the best value of services, creative deliverables and innovation

    Operational Objectives:

    • Provide creative leadership and vision to support the evolution and strength of the brand as the most influential shaper of choice. 
    • Maintain a high level of efficiencies in the utilization of design staff and resources.
    • Implement systems, best practices, standard operating processes and protocol. 
    • Guide team growth and development as suited to the needs of the organization, business objectives and marketing strategies. 
    • Support the Executive Creative Director to provide leadership, build trust and credibility with partners and shape the culture of the Creative organization

    Process Objectives:

    • Analyze efficiencies and effectiveness of creative outcomes as they impact the business, the team, the organization and executive management. 
    • Apply best practices to process and procedures as needed to ensure evolution of the creative team into a world class design organization
    • Monitor compliance and workflow to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
    • Establish and monitor agency/vendor relationships monthly to validate business alignment and value to the organization
    • Provide regular, consistent reports and statuses to the Executive Creative Director - elevate & prioritize objectives as needed.

    Project Management Objectives:

    • Set project goals and objectives with partners and ensure clarity of expectations and deliverables.
    • Set the pace for the team and establish priorities that level set quality, innovation, aesthetic and strategy alignment.
    • Set annual goals and objectives consistent with the Executive Creative Director and Executive Management. Enable ongoing communication process with clients, creative team and account services. 
    • Apply resources wisely and systematically when challenged with unexpected requests and tight timelines. 

    Leadership Objectives:

    • Develop creative team members; reward high potentials and manage problem performers.
    • Partner with the Executive Creative Director to ensure positive morale, clarity of creative vision, team building and partner trust. 
    • Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to ensure team members are performing optimally and with insight to their opportunities for growth and improvement.
    • Responsible for reviews and performance management of team members and freelancers.
    • Lead and mentor team members by creating individual, measurable performance objectives that align with the overall team goals and business objectives
    • Seek out development and training opportunities for team members to enhance creativity, productivity and skill.
    • Work closely with the Executive Creative Director to ensure organizational effectiveness, talent retention & acquisition

    Requirements: 

    • BA in Design or equivalent experience demonstrating strong visual design skills.
    • Over 10 years as a creative professional as a graphic designer, art director or creative manager.
    • Over 4 years managing a creative team in an agency or corporate environment.
    • Direct management experience of a team comprised of 10 or more creatives.
    • Agency/vendor relationship management experience that exhibits the ability to develop successful campaigns through guidance and partnership.
    • Operational management in a creative environment with experience handling supervision, resource management, improvement of costs, technology, workflow processes, ideation, creative strategy, and applied marketing/business insights
    • Ability to respond and perform swiftly and seamlessly in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Deep experience in design at both the contributor and manager level with the ability to support the creative team and cross functional partners in developing appropriate solutions for client communications and challenges
    • Experienced at client facing roles with specific experience in setting and managing expectations and outcomes.

    Agency Producer

    Job Description

    • The Agency Producer is responsible for creative development, budgeting, negotiating with the production company, music and artist contracts, post-production and getting copy to stations.

    DUTIES

    • Work closely with the Executive Creative Director (ECD) in terms of understanding the ECD’s vision and expectations for TV and radio production
    • Have a solid understanding of all elements of print production
    • Be able to cost jobs and effectively mark those jobs up.
    • Be responsible for briefing suppliers on what is required for a particular job.
    • Assess supplier quotes
    • Work with finance to finalize cost estimates to clients.
    • Oversee all aspects of the production of a job with suppliers
    • Quality control
    • Find effective ways of saving money for the agency in the process of production
    • Effectively managing production vendors
    • Identify and negotiating with preferential suppliers in conjunction with the finance department.
    • Have a strong relationship with the traffic department in terms on meeting deadlines and managing the flow of work
    • All contractual issues relating to production will be the responsibility of the production manager in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer / Head of Finance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist with production of high-end elements, on-air promotions and marketing projects for radio and TV.

    Finance Manager

    Job Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Timely and accurate recording of agency revenues in accordance with GAAP
    • Operationalize the accounting for existing and new accounts (clients), suppliers and contractors.
    • Research and resolve technical accounting issues surrounding revenue recognition.
    • Identify and implement process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency
    • Identify trends or issues that require management’s attention.
    • Produce and present periodic and ad hoc reports to the senior management & business owners.
    • Prepare month-end journal entries and analyses.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
    • Oversees the General Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Cash Application functions. Supervises the accounting staff with day-to-day and periodic accounting functions.
    • Manages the monthly close process, ensuring that all entries are correctly input and accurately reflect the financial events of the current period and adhere to best accounting practices and standards.
    • Ensure that all deliverables are completed within the corporate and timeline, including reporting requirements.
    • Performs detailed account analyses, identifies account misstatements and courses of action to correct.
    • Prepares monthly reconciliations and reports for all balance sheet accounts. Investigates any exceptions and determines appropriate course of action.
    • Works closely with the payroll function to ensure that all wage-related information is accurately reflected in the financial statements and all appropriate accruals are made.
    • Assists the Financial Controller to Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for accounting related functions.
    • Consistently reviews processes and gives recommendations for improvement. Acts as cash manager in maintaining cash balances for all bank accounts, independently determines appropriate balances and necessary transfers.
    • Leads, supervises, and develops staff.
    • Prepares monthly and quarterly sales tax analysis and payments.
    • Cash Flow management and reporting
    • Manage the year end audit process with the auditors
    • Budgeting and forecasting

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    Revenue Assurance and Collections:

    • Account for and monitor collection/payment of non-standard contractual revenue streams. Reconciliation of supplier/clearinghouse data to internal data and resolution of differences.

    Special projects as assigned:

    • Provide accounting input to new projects & technology. Create new tools/databases to compress month-end close.
    • Full deployment of the Nigerian Tax Laws and Practice. The Pension Act. Quarterly reporting and audit schedules.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 6 years of Accounting and Finance experience.
    • B. Sc degree in Accounting, Finance
    • Professionally qualified
    • Strong Excel skills as well as the ability to work with large amounts of data.
    • Problem solving skills; Ability to find accounting and operational solutions for new business initiatives.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to manage details and data.
    • Ability to build strong working relationships, having worked in an Advertising Agency
    • Good people skills with the ability to work with management and department heads
    • Ability to remain neutral always.
    • Solid moral fibre with the ability to deal appropriately with issues involving fraud and corruption.
