    Communication Specialist (CEO’s Speechwriter / Editor)

    The Position

    • The Communication and External Relations team ensures that Salpha’s mission, values, and innovations are communicated with clarity and impact.
    • The team supports the CEO and executive leadership in articulating the company’s vision to global investors, governments,development partners, regulators, and the millions of customers Salpha serves.
    • The Communication Specialist (CEO’s Speechwriter/Editor) will take the lead in producing speeches, op-eds, and strategic messages that reflect the voice and vision of Salpha’s CEO, a globally recognized leader in the fight for energy freedom.
    • With a dynamic international speaking schedule, the CEO addresses diverse audiences ranging from heads of state, ministers, and multilateral institutions, to investors, civil society leaders, and the wider public.
    • The role also involves drafting and editing executive communications that shape policy discussions, mobilize capital, and inspire the next wave of clean energy adoption across frontier markets.

    Duties & Responsibilites
    The Communication Specialist (Speechwriter/Editor) will:

    • Develop communication strategy: Set medium- and long-term goals to position the CEO’s office as a thought leader in energy access and climate action; contribute to budget planning to support these goals.
    • Speechwriting & editorial support: Write, edit, and proofread speeches, op-eds, andexecutive messages; ensure alignment with Salpha’s mission and global positioning.
    • Issue framing: Proactively identify opportunities and platforms where the CEO’s voice should shape debate on energy, climate finance, and inclusive growth.
    • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with internal teams (communications, investor relations, policy, and product) to integrate technical and operational insights into speeches and statements.
    • Content curation: Review and synthesize key messages from reports, research, policy papers, and media articles to enrich CEO’s speeches.
    • Tracking commitments: Document, monitor, and follow up on policy and partnership commitments madethrough CEO speeches and public statements.
    • Stakeholder engagement: Manage and coordinate requests for CEO statements and materials from governments, investors, development partners, and the media.
    • Media and publications alignment: Partner with Salpha’s communications team to ensure consistent brand voice across speeches, press releases, and digital content.
    • Executive presence: Support the CEO during high-level engagements, ensuring messages are sharp, impactful, and audience-specific.

    Selection Criteria

    • Master’s degree in Communications, International Relations, Political Science, Languages, or related fields.
    • At least 7–10 years’ experience in speechwriting, editorial roles, or strategic communications, ideally in international development, energy, or corporate sectors.
    • Strong writing and editing record in English; proficiency in French or other languages is an advantage.
    • Proven ability to distill complex technical or policy issues into clear, compelling narratives.
    • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
    • Demonstrated experience engaging with high-level stakeholders (government, investors, multilaterals, media).
    • Integrity, creativity, and ability to deliver under tight deadlines in fast-moving environments.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with modern communication platforms.

    Partnership Inventory Dispatch Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Partnership Inventory Dispatcher Officer will be responsible for the End-to-End management of inventory/products distributed to partners and ensuring seamless disbursement and delivery to partnership branches within the state.
    • This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and logistical skills to ensure that all inventory-related operations align with company objectives on partnership sales targets and partner expectations.

    Key Responsibilities
    Dispatch/Distribution Operations:

    • Effectively Plan product disbursement strategies across assigned branches based on route mapping to achieve distribution cost effectiveness and prompt product availability
    • Coordinate and ensure products dispatched across various branches are in good conditions.
    • Optimize delivery schedules to reduce lead times and improve efficiency.
    • Track deliveries and provide regular status updates to relevant parties.

    Partnership Coordination:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for branches assigned and other partners concerning product deliveries and inventory queries.
    • Ensure all partners receive timely updates on product availability, delivery schedules, and stock levels.
    • Attend union meetings regularly to sensitize partners and customers on product offerings
    • Interface regularly with Branch Managers (BMs) and CSOs to ensure speedily sales and remittance of funds to company’s account.
    • Maintain good rapport with branch executives and excos to maximize result.

    Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate records of products disbursed to partnership branches.
    • Regularly update inventory databases to reflect stock movements, deliveries, and returns (Defectives) across branches assigned.
    • Conduct routine stock audits and reconciliations with branches to ensure accountability and minimize discrepancies.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for inventory dispatch, including delivery notes, receipts, and branch confirmations.
    • Maintain an accurate record of products disbursed to branches and regularly confirm inventory balances.
    • Generate periodic reports on stock levels, dispatch activities, and partner performance metrics.

    Problem Resolution:

    • Investigate and resolve any issues related to stock discrepancies, delayed deliveries, or partner complaints.
    • Proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks in the inventory and dispatch process across branches.
    • Work closely with the engineering department to ensure faulty products are speedily repaired and returned to branch.

    Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure that all inventory and dispatch activities comply with company policies, standards and directives.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or other related field.
    • Experience: At least 4 years relevant experience in partnership/Retail sales and management, inventory management, logistics planning, or a similar role, preferably in the FMCG sector.

    Skills:

    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent Reporting skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for accurate reporting.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent knowledge of location landscape and route mapping.
    • Willingness to travel within the state as required.
    • Must have high integrity Level and honesty in discharge of duties.
    • Must know how to drive with a valid driver’s license.
