    Civil Engineer / Specialist III

    Description

    • Considered an expert in Civil Engineering.
    • Facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team's goals, objectives, and procedures
    • Assures accurate and timely communication among the team and other company Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.
    • Demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
    • Provides instructions and guidelines to lower level personnel.
    • Works with limited to no supervision.
    • Primary job functions typically require exercising independent judgment.
    • Typically reports to Senior level Management.
    • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products
    • Coordination and communication of various issues among the company's and contractor's engineering team that affect the discipline engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance of the work
    • Evaluate / comment work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Includes review of discipline design drawings and documents
    • Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure that such deviations will be processed according to Company procedures; maintains Deviation Control Log.
    • Steward discipline engineering queries from the Contractor and sub-contractors as well as technical information requests
    • Keep Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
    • Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor's and subcontractor's locations
    • Drives and promotes capital efficiency in engineering design
    • Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering within discipline.
    • Previous experience in a closely related position
    • Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
    • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
    • Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications

    SSHE Coordinator III

    Description

    • Support Business Line Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) stewardship processes and portfolio analysis.
    • Develop and monitor performance metrics to evaluate business performance. Support the SSHE Supervisor in managing the SSHE program, as directed by the SSHE Supervisor.
    • Coordinate a variety of activities and be the point of contact for the Regional SSHE Advisors
    • Develop Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) training on safety procedure, practices for the plant as well as contractors
    • Set up system for implementing the safety plan including hardware, software, data flow, analysis techniques and reporting format
    • Develop safety communication plan to employees and contractors
    • Design a safety incentive program
    • Coordinate the development of the Waste Management, Environment and Industrial Hygiene plan for the turnaround
    • Review Contractor safety plans
    • Part of the team to perform risk analysis of specific jobs
    • Implement the safety program
    • Compile SHE statistics.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
    • Experience in Construction Safety-related positions (previous experience within the group preferred)
    • Support ownership and stewardship of assessment findings database
    • Support core SOMS processes and work activities (SMC / SOMS Coordinators Network / Corporate Risk Review)
    • Custody documentation and verification of conformance with SOMS deliverables
    • Provide SME support on Operations Integrity processes and initiatives
    • Actively support planning and execution of assessments, including logistics, meeting scheduling, assessors team reviews, etc
    • Support Site Collection Administrator responsibilities for SOMS SharePoint sites including administration of end user database access rights
    • Interface with System Owners / Implementation Leads in development of Annual Review of Management System (ARMS), effectiveness metrics

    Key Competencies and Skills (Certifications):

    • University Bachelor of Science / Engineering Degree, preferably in Engineering.
    • A higher degree in Engineering would be an added advantage
    • 10+ years relevant oil & gas industry experience
    • Strong Team Player, Good Communication skills (written and verbal), Good
    • Coordination and Collaboration skills, Good Technical, Problem solving and Analytical skills, Excellent
    • Knowledge, Experience & Business Accomplishments Required
    • 10+ years broad knowledge and experience with Good knowledge of risk management processes
    • Broad knowledge of operations integrity / excellence management systems for oil & gas industry including stewardship / governance processes.

    Project Engineer III

    Main Functions

    • Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. 
    • Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. 
    • Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. 
    • Provides technical support for the engineering process. 
    • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. 
    • Works under immediate supervision.
    • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
    • Back up responsibilities for the Project Manager as required.

    Tasks and Responsibilties

    • Participates in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation and contractor selection
    • Participates in identification & sourcing long lead equipment, assuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned to the contractor
    • Coordinates development of CCAP (Company Capital Project Management) Gate 3 deliverables
    • Coordinates development of Functional Interaction Plan
    • Coordinates project issues resolution process
    • Coordinates change requests & endorses change authorization
    • Responsible for the completion of the assigned work scope consistent with the Project Objectives
    • Engages Project Team and functional resources to verify that the design & construction is consistent with project specifications & standards
    • Serves as interface between Project Team & Contractor
    • Ensures smooth transitions between project stages
    • Leads Project Management Team (PMT) in applying Project Management Systems.

    Job Requirements
    Skills and Qualifications:

    • BSc or MSc Degree in an Engineering field
    • Experience in multiple assignments in engineering, construction, and project management and controls activities
    • Broad range of experience and skills through multiple function & project assignments (Multi-discipline skill set)
    • Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications & work processes
    • Strong leadership, influencing & interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational, coordination, planning & interface skills
    • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads & frequent changes in priorities
    • Excellent communication skills & ability to read, write & speak fluent English
    • Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs.
