A driver's job involves safely operating a vehicle to transport goods or passengers, ensuring timely delivery by planning routes, performing vehicle checks, maintaining records, and providing good customer service, all while adhering to traffic laws and potentially handling loading/unloading and paperwork, requiring skills like navigation, reliability, and physical stamina for varied roles from delivery to chauffeur services. 

Core Responsibilities 

Transporting:

• Safely drive passengers or goods to designated locations, ensuring they arrive on time. 

Navigation:

Use GPS and local knowledge to plan the most efficient routes, adapting for traffic or weather. 

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Conduct pre-trip inspections, check fuel, tires, oil, and arrange for repairs as needed. 

Loading/Unloading:

• Assist with loading and securing cargo and unloading packages at destinations. 

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate logs for mileage, deliveries, fuel, and expenses. 

Customer Service:

• Interact professionally with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and safety. 

Key Skills & Requirements 

• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of the operating area.
• Ability to lift heavy items (depending on the role).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in traffic.
