About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, commercially driven, and strategic professional to join our leadership team as Chief Business Officer (CBO).

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, revenue generation, client acquisition, strategic partnerships, brand positioning, and market expansion across the company’s business lines. The role requires a strong understanding of the financial services industry, particularly asset management, investment products, and capital markets.

The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership, relationship management, sales, and marketing capabilities with a proven track record of delivering measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development and marketing strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
• Drive funds mobilization and growth in Assets Under Management (AUM).
• Lead client acquisition, relationship management, and retention initiatives across institutional, corporate, HNI, and retail segments.
• Identify and execute strategic partnerships and new market opportunities.
• Oversee brand management, corporate communications, digital marketing, and market visibility initiatives.
• Monitor business pipelines, conversion metrics, and revenue performance.
• Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to executive management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Lead and manage Business Development, Sales, Relationship Management, and Marketing teams to achieve performance targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 12–15 years relevant experience in business development, sales, marketing, or relationship management within the financial services industry.
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
• Strong understanding of asset management, capital markets, and investment products.
• Proven track record in funds mobilization, client acquisition, and revenue growth.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability.
