    Finance & Administration Manager

    Responsible for Finance and Administrative Services of the Business Unit

    Responsibilities

    Finance

    • Provide inputs for annual budgeting
    • Examine and accord financial vetting for proposals having financial implications
    • Ensure compliance of financial audit
    • Responsible for all financial accounting and supervises compilation for unit and undertakings
    • Supervise inter unit account settlements
    • Supervise maintenance of various accounts & registers
    • Settlement of all staff claims, external claims, time bound tax related claims under the limits specified
    • Ensure proper reconciliation of various payment channels at business unit
    • Monitors compilation of MIS, PRT & other reports.
    • Maintain and update sub ledger capturing the financial transactions appropriately

    Administration

    • Ensuring compliance to HR policies and labor laws
    • Initiate the performance appraisal report
    • Maintaining job descriptions and training related records
    • Oversee preparation of papers for claims of retired employees
    • Ensuring maintenance of discipline, attendance, highlighting employee concerns at the assigned locations
    • Initiating disciplinary proceeding of employees in corruption cases
    • Oversee the legal activities and court cases related to employees
    • Taking up the case of employee complaint/ grievance for redressal
    • Ensuring free flow of communication upward to resolve employee grievances at the earliest opportunity
    • Conducting surveys on employee engagement employee satisfaction
    • Participating in the welfare activities for the employees
    • Looking into security matters, office maintenance, office furniture maintenance etc.
    • Takes responsibility for compliance with all Quality Management System /Operation Health & System related activities in the department as documented in the departmental operations manual, risk assessment register and other relevant documents.
    • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Business Manager.

    Minimum qualifications

    • 1st degree in Accounting or a Finance-related field, Commercial or Social Science discipline 
    • Post-graduate degree(s) and relevant professional qualifications e.g., ACA, ACCA are essential.
    • 8 - 10 years’ experience, with at least three 3 years' experiences in a supervisory position.

    IT Helpdesk Officer

    Reporting To: Desktop Support Analyst

    Role Purpose
    Responsible for providing efficient and effective level 1 technical support to staff in areas such as desktop, help desk and IT project support along with network troubleshooting/support

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluates, prioritizes and addresses all types of service requests handled by the IT team (desktop support, phone/email response).
    • Setup, deploys, repairs and troubleshoots laptop and desktop PCs, printers and other PC hardware and peripherals.
    • Consults with end-users in addressing problems and assists in formulating solutions. Maintains exceptional level of communication with end-users
    • Acts in a consultative role to end-users by providing recommendations regarding hardware, software, processes, etc. in order to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    • Assists in the planning, coordination and implementation of projects.
    • Assists in training of basic systems for new and current users when necessary.
    • Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Minimum qualifications

    Store Officer

    Reporting To: Store Supervisor

    Role Purpose
    To assist the Store Supervisor in management of material issue and receipt.

    Responsibilities

    • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to store supervisor and record keeping.
    • Maintenance and audit of material in stock.
    • Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
    • Assist in finalizing various MIS reports pertaining to store procedures.
    • Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs.
    • Carrying out all other functions as designated in line with achieving the departmental objective.
    • Receiving and arranging of materials received from the vendor into the storeroom.
    • Issuing of material duly approved on the Inventory Management System.
    • To ensure the correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications, condition of the materials received from vendors.

    Minimum qualifications

    • This role requires a first degree or its equivalent diploma qualification.
    • Requires between 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role.

    Vigilance Strategy & Monitoring Officer

    Reporting To: Vigilance Strategy & Monitoring Specialist

    Role Purpose
    Will be part of a team responsible for field activities in line with the strategic objective to reduce unbilled energy.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for field activities aimed at reducing unbilled energy.
    • Provide insight for team operations through statistical analysis of customer data to drive field activities at identifying revenue and energy leakages.
    • Supervise technical gangs in carrying out safe diagnostics on meters, disconnection and reconnection of customers.
    • Conduct investigation of whistleblowing on illegal use of electricity and provide reports to stakeholders.
    • Periodic customer meter recertification and DT validation exercises for energy accounting.
    • Enforce sanctions on consumers resorting to theft or illegal use of electricity in line with regulatory provisions.
    • Provide support for weekly and monthly reporting of team’s activities for performance management.
    • Periodic compliance reviews on both customer and field commercial staff to ensure compliance to company policies.
    • Examine the existing procedures that provide opportunities for inefficiency and malpractices and implement remedial measures.
    • Escalate all cases of non-compliance and monitoring all escalated issues/complaints for resolution.
    • Joint responsibility for commercial loss reduction initiatives.
    • Provide commercial loss reports of the Business Unit to management.
    • Comply with Quality Management System / Operational Health & System requirements and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs.
    • Carry out any other duty as requested by the Head Revenue Protection and Enforcement Unit, Team Lead Vigilance and BU Vigilance Specialist. 

    Minimum qualifications

    • This role requires a first degree/HND in Engineering, Technology (limited to chemical, electrical, civil, production and mechanical), Physics, Mathematics
    • This role requires 0-2 years technical work experience 

    Technical Competencies

    • Familiarity with technical field work, use of work tools and personal protective equipment.
    • Knowledge of the various types of electricity metering infrastructure.
    • Knowledge of the electricity supply chain value system
    • Knowledge of the electricity regulatory codes and requirements
    • Knowledge of various forms of meter manipulations and other forms of energy theft
