    Business Development Executive

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking a proactive, confident, and results-driven Business Development Executive to drive client acquisition, business growth, and revenue generation for a growing HR Consulting firm.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating and converting leads, building relationships with corporate clients, and promoting the company’s professional services.

    Responsibilities
    Business Development & Client Acquisition:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries and markets.
    • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve client acquisition and revenue targets.
    • Generate qualified leads through cold calling, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, direct outreach, industry events, and market research.
    • Research and identify prospective corporate clients, businesses, and key decision-makers.
    • Conduct prospecting activities and develop relationships with potential clients.
    • Arrange and conduct client meetings, presentations, pitches, and service demonstrations.
    • Prepare compelling business proposals and commercial presentations tailored to client needs.
    • Negotiate commercial terms and effectively close new business opportunities.
    • Manage prospects through the complete sales cycle, from initial contact to conversion.
    • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects to maximise conversion and revenue opportunities.

    Client & Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
    • Understand client business needs and recommend appropriate services from the company’s portfolio.
    • Maintain regular communication and follow-up with clients to ensure strong relationships.
    • Identify opportunities for repeat business, referrals, cross-selling, and account growth.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of client requirements and ensure effective coordination with internal teams.
    • Support client retention and contribute to a positive customer experience.

    Market Development & Partnerships:

    • Identify new markets, industries, sectors, and client segments with business potential.
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, trends, and competitor activities.
    • Develop strategic partnerships and referral relationships that can generate new business.
    • Attend networking events, business forums, conferences, and other relevant engagements to generate leads and strengthen the company’s market presence.
    • Maintain an updated database of prospects, leads, clients, and business opportunities.

    Sales Pipeline & Performance Management:

    • Develop and maintain a healthy sales/business development pipeline.
    • Track leads, prospects, proposals, negotiations, conversions, and revenue opportunities.
    • Monitor individual business development performance against agreed targets and KPIs.
    • Prepare regular business development reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates.
    • Use CRM systems and other relevant tools to maintain accurate records of business development activities.
    • Provide management with market intelligence and recommendations for improving business growth.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, Communications, or a related discipline.
    • 2–3 years of proven experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Client Acquisition, Sales, or a related commercial role.
    • Mandatory experience in selling services to businesses or corporate clients.
    • Proven track record of lead generation, client acquisition, sales conversion, and revenue generation.
    • Experience working with sales targets, business development KPIs, or revenue objectives.
    • Strong experience in prospecting, cold calling, networking, pitching, negotiation, and closing.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, persuasion, and relationship-management skills.
    • Confident in engaging business owners, managers, executives, and other key decision-makers.
    • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and convert business opportunities.
    • Proactive, target-driven, persistent, and results-oriented.
    • Good organisational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and opportunities.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, and other business development tools.
    • Experience selling professional services, consulting, recruitment, outsourcing, training, technology, financial services, or other B2B services is an advantage.
    • An existing network of corporate/business contacts is an added advantage.

    Head of Marketing and Communication

    Job Summary

    • The Head of Marketing and Communications will lead the College's brand, marketing, and communications strategy, with a strong emphasis on digital.
    • The primary objective of the role is to grow admissions: increasing quality enquiries, applications, and enrolments, and strengthening the College's reputation among prospective families in Nigeria and the diaspora.
    • This is a hands-on role. The successful candidate will both set the strategy and execute it, working closely with the principal, the admissions team, and academic staff.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategy and Brand:

    • Develop and own the annual marketing plan and budget, aligned to admissions targets
    • Maintain a consistent brand identity and tone of voice across all channels and materials
    • Track competitor positioning among Nigerian and international schools

    Digital Marketing:

    • Own the College website: content, SEO, user experience, and enquiry conversion
    • Plan and run paid digital campaigns (Meta, Google) targeting prospective parents in Nigeria and the diaspora
    • Manage the College's social media presence (Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook), including a content calendar
    • Build and manage email marketing to prospective and current parents
    • Report monthly on performance using analytics (enquiries, cost per lead, conversion), and adjust spend accordingly

    Admissions Marketing:

    • Partner with the admissions team to nurture enquiries from first contact through to enrolment
    • Plan and promote open days, entrance examinations, and recruitment events
    • Produce admissions materials: prospectus, video tours, testimonials

    Content and Communications:

    • Produce or commission photography, video, and written content that showcases student life, academic results, and boarding
    • Manage the school newsletter and parent-facing communications
    • Support the Principal with internal and external communications, including sensitive or reputational matters

    Safeguarding

    • Ensure all content involving students complies with the College's Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, including image consent
    • Complete safeguarding training and uphold safer recruitment standards

    Requirements

    • 5+ years' marketing experience with at least 2 years in a digital-led role
    • Demonstrable, hands-on experience running paid social and search campaigns with measurable results
    • Strong content skills: writing, and directing photography and video
    • Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager) and CMS platforms
    • Excellent written English and a sharp eye for brand consistency
    • Willingness to spend regular time on campus in Abeokuta, including overnight stays where needed for events
    • Experience marketing schools, education, or another premium consumer service
    • Understanding of the Nigerian private education market and diaspora parent audience
    • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or a small team
    • Basic design skills (e.g. Canva, Adobe suite).

    Head of Administration

    Job Summary

    • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all administrative, facilities and support services across the school.
    • Ensure efficient, safe and compliant operational delivery that enables outstanding teaching, boarding and co‑curricular provision. Lead continuous improvement of systems, processes and people to deliver value for money, strong risk management and excellent stakeholder service while supporting the Principal and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in operational planning, budgeting and policy implementation.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategic leadership and planning:

    • Develop and implement a three‑ to five‑year operational strategy and annual business plans for administration, facilities and support services aligned to the school’s strategic objectives and boarding ethos.
    • Provide input to whole‑school strategic planning and senior leadership meetings, translating strategic priorities into operational objectives and measurable KPIs.
    • Lead change and process improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce cost and improve service delivery across administrative functions.

    Operational management:

    • Oversee day‑to‑day administrative operations including reception, office management, records and data management, communications, mail, travel and event logistics.
    • Ensure robust records management for student, staff and corporate records in line with data protection law, inspection requirements and school policy.
    • Manage school facilities and site operations: cleaning, security, catering liaison, grounds, maintenance, transport and utilities to deliver a safe, secure and welcoming environment for learners and staff.
    • Lead health & safety and emergency preparedness planning (fire safety, first aid, evacuation, crisis response), ensuring regular audits, risk assessments and staff training.

    Financial and contract management:

    • Prepare and manage operational budgets for administration, facilities and support services; monitor expenditure, drive cost control and provide timely financial reports to the Principal and governors.
    • Lead procurement, contract negotiation and vendor management for services (catering, security, maintenance, ICT support, cleaning), ensuring value for money, compliance with procurement policy and robust SLAs.
    • Oversee asset management, inventory control and lifecycle planning for equipment, furniture and vehicles.

    Systems, compliance and policy:

    • Implement, maintain and optimise core administrative systems including ERP/school management systems, finance and HR interfaces, facilities management software and CRM tools to deliver integrated workflows and accurate management information.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory, inspection and accreditation requirements relevant to a British boarding school (safeguarding, health & safety, fire regulations, local statutory requirements) and support preparation for inspections and audits.
    • Lead development, review and implementation of operational policies and procedures (finance‑related procedures, procurement, records retention, health & safety, staff handbook), ensuring effective communication and adherence.

    Staff leadership and human resources:

    • Line‑manage administrative, facilities, security, catering and support staff; set objectives, conduct performance appraisal, and deliver coaching and professional development.
    • Lead recruitment, induction, rostering and workforce planning for support services; foster a culture of accountability, customer service and continuous improvement.
    • Promote staff wellbeing, clear communication and constructive employee relations within support teams.

    Stakeholder management and service delivery:

    • Act as key operational point of contact for parents, staff, governors, external contractors and regulatory bodies; maintain high standards of customer service and timely communication.
    • Support the Principal, SLT and governors with operational briefs, accurate data and recommendations for decision‑making.
    • Work closely with boarding and pastoral leads to ensure facilities and operational routines support boarding life, safeguarding, student welfare and learning.

    Project and capital works management:

    • Lead or oversee capital projects, refurbishments and major maintenance programmes from specification and tendering to contract management and handover.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to agreed quality standards, coordinating external consultants and contractors as required.
    • Performance management and reporting
    • Develop and maintain KPIs and performance dashboards for administrative areas (response times, maintenance turnaround, budget variance, compliance checks) and report monthly/termly to the principal and governors.
    • Conduct periodic service reviews, supplier benchmarking and customer satisfaction surveys to drive improvement.

    Requirements
    Experience and qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Public Administration, Facilities Management or a related discipline; Master’s Degree or professional qualification preferred.
    • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with substantial senior operational / administrative leadership responsibility; experience in an international/British boarding school strongly preferred.
    • Proven track record of managing large teams, multi‑site facilities or complex service contracts.
    • Strong IT literacy and experience with school ERP/management systems, finance packages and facilities management tools.
    • Experience of leading capital projects, procurement processes and vendor management.
    • Project Management experience is an added advantage.

    Required Skills and attributes:

    • Proven senior leadership capability in school operations, facilities and administrative management within an international, British curriculum or boarding school environment.
    • Demonstrable experience implementing and optimising ERP/school management systems and office technology to automate processes and improve data quality.
    • Robust understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, emergency planning and compliance frameworks relevant to UK and local Nigerian regulation.
