    HR Intern (Maternity Cover)

    Job Objectives

    • The Human Resource Assistant / Intern will provide essential administrative and operational support to the HR Manager, HR Business Partner, HR coordinator and HR Officer.
    • This role is designed to assist in the efficient functioning of the HR department by performing tasks that do not overlap with those of more senior HR roles.
    • The Assistant/Intern will focus on clerical duties, initial stages of the recruitment process, data entry, and basic employee support functions, ensuring the smooth operation of the HR team.

    Overall Responsibilities
    Administrative Support:

    • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR department.
    • Schedule interviews as requested by the HR Team.
    • Prepare and maintain HR-related documentation and correspondence.
    • Handle general inquiries and provide administrative support to HR projects.

    Onboarding and Orientation:

    • Support to prepare onboarding materials and orientation packs for new hires.
    • Assist in organizing and conducting induction sessions for new employees.
    • Ensure new hires complete all necessary paperwork and compliance forms.

    Employee Records Management:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, job history, and benefits.
    • Ensure confidentiality and security of employee information.
    • Assist in maintaining employee files and ensuring data accuracy.

    Employee Performance and Benefits Management:

    • Track employee start date and probation due date.
    • Help track and process payments for Team Members for Life Changing Events and other benefits
    • Support the HR Unit in processing payments for eligible employees.

    Required Qualifications

    • B.Sc in Human Resource Management or a related field
    • At least 1 year post-graduation experience in HR or any related field
    • Other professional qualifications are desirable
    • Understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations
    • Exposure to payroll practices
    • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
    • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.

    Finance Officer - Commercial

    The Role

    • The Finance Officer – Commercial is responsible for managing the financial records of MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices’ centres and social marketing channels in line with asset management policies, while carrying out reviews, documentation, and reconciliation activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement accounting and internal control systems to protect fraud, waste and misuse of financial resources while ensuring segregation of duties in the processing of transactions.
    • Prepare bank reconciliation report on monthly basis.
    • Process and Post payments to Team Members, Vendors, and other 3rd Parties for the Social Marketing and Centre channels within the enabling financial processing platform as they occur.
    • Daily transaction inputting into MSI Nigeria’s SUN accounting system.
    • Ensure that expenses are properly coded and allocated to the relevant cost centres / projects.
    • Review and process cash requests/retirements. Periodic review of staff account and proper allocation of retired expense against the cash advance.
    • Maintain an Expenditure tracker to account for all payments (actual and pending).
    • Review and post Clinic Income and Service Data from EHR software into SUN accounting system.
    • Review and approval claims from the commercial field team on SORT Platform.
    • Ensure the remittance of all statutory deductions to appropriate authorities within the commercial channels.
    • Ensure proper controls are place at centre/social marketing channels and provide support to centre manager(s) in time.
    • Ensure WHT are being deducted and deposited to authorities/states in time.
    • Ensure that expenses/retirements are properly filed on SharePoint.
    • Quarterly supportive supervision visits to centres and ensure all controls are in place and are working effectively.
    • Advice the FM in upgradation of financial procedures and policies as and when required and on a timely basis.
    • Prepare centre MER monthly report and ensure that all transactions are capture into the financial system
    • Any other duties as may be requested by the Finance Manager – Commercial or any other Senior Management Team members.

    Key Experience / Qualification / Skills

    • First Degree (Second Class or higher) in Accounting or any other Finance related subject
    • 3-5 years post-NYSC experience in accounting or related field in NGO and INGO.
    • Working knowledge of different donors USAID, DFID and BMGF.
    • Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA).
    • Proficiency in the use of SUN accounting System.
    • Ability to use EHR system, SORT system and to apply advance excel skills is preferred.
    • Ability to multitask manage workload, produce high quality report.
    • Good team players, flexible while working with other colleagues
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
    • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point Office
    • Quick learning abilities
    • Ability to manage a high-level workload and meet tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
