    Assistant Class Teacher - Grade School

    Overview

    • We are currently looking for a friendly and competent Teacher Assistant to join our team.

    Job Description

    • Work with the lead teacher to monitor the class schedule.
    • Assist teacher with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment.
    • Revise lesson material with students individually or in small groups.
    • Ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean.
    • Oversee students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, and during lunch.
    • Collaborate with lead teachers to recognize issues students are facing and recommend solutions.
    • Document student progress and communicate with parents to keep them informed.
    • Assist to create lesson plans.
    • Comply with state, school, and class rules regulations.
    • Attend all training classes and parent conferences.

    Requirements

    • Diploma or B.Ed in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of at least 2 years experience.
    • Candidate must possess Jolly Phonics certification.
    • Candidates must be willing and ready to display a clear understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies across the classes.
    • Must be computer literate, and able to use MicrosoftTeams for online learning.
    • Possess excellent interpersonal skills in relation to children, parents, and staff.
    • Have a strong commitment to school improvement.
    • Must reside in the Lekki / Ajah area of Lagos State.

    School Administrator

    Location: Lekki, Lagos

    About the Role

    • Candidate must have an excellent understanding of pedagogic strategies that support first class/international teaching and learning activities.
    • Must have experience in a blended curriculum setting and can drive excellent teaching and learning practices in the British Curriculum.
    • The School Administrator’s responsibilities include handling all allocated tasks, answering questions and queries, understanding the school’s policies, and communicating with parents, teachers, and students as required.
    • She must be well groomed in executing a guidance and counselor role.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Candidate will work closely with the Executive Director, Head Teacher and Facility Manager to provide departmental budgets; where there are needs.
    • You will work with the CFO, and Human Resources Head to determine a skeletal budget.
    • Monitors admissions processes (physical school and virtual), Documentation & Assessments.
    • Understand and review the way the school function.
    • Must ensure a good synergy in harmonizing the activities of the school.
    • Manage Regulatory Compliance for the school i.e., Lagos State Ministry of Education Registration, LASG Quality Assurance Department and other compliance documentations needed.
    • Monitor all issues related to Student Recruitment and Retention.
    • To develop and supervise the implementation of the school’s adopted curriculum
    • Effectively oversee the day to day running of the school, both the academic and administrative sections.
    • In charge of parents-relations, admissions, record keeping, etc.
    • Taking into account each teacher’s workload and extracurricular activities when developing class schedules.
    • Candidate must have excellent IT skills and a good understanding of the use of Technology in education.
    • Conducting research on professional and ongoing learning workshops and sharing these opportunities with teachers and other staff.
    • Candidate will be required to facilitate the development, implementation, and stewardship of the vision of teaching & learning, that is shared and supported by all stakeholders.
    • Keeping track of student successes and failures and preparing appropriate interventions.
    • Managing school security, and caretakers.
    • Assisting with the training, and onboarding of new teachers.
    • Managing and monitoring of the implementation of the resources allocation process within the school.
    • Responsible for Student Transportation Program.
    • Design a School Bus post Covid plan to be presented to parents.
    • Candidate must be sound in Establishing and maintaining good relationships with parents, students, and staff.
    • Preparing and submitting drafts of proposals, financial reports, and other documents.

    Requirements

    • Minimum Qualification: B.Ed / M.Ed in Education Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, and PGDE with 5 - 10 years’ work experience as school administrator.
    • A good and above-average understanding of the British Curriculum.
    • Knowledge of ICT.
    • Strong ability to lead a team.
    • Preferred candidate must be available to resume within a short period.

    Grade 2 & 3 Teacher

    Location: Lekki, Lagos

    Job Details / Responsibilities

    • Organizing and supervising play and work activities
    • Developing and implementing lessons and work schemes, using the Early Years Foundation Stage as a framework.
    • Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
    • Providing a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning and growth.
    • Coordinate with other first-grade teachers to maintain consistency in the curriculum.
    • Develop lesson plans and instructional ideas according to school standards.
    • Assign and grade classwork and homework.
    • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
    • Use standard assessment methods to evaluate their academic strengths and weaknesses.

    Requirements

    • Candidate must possess a First Degree preferably in Education.
    • 3-6 years of cognate experience.
    • The candidate must be a hardworking and enthusiastic professional with excellent subject knowledge.
    • Candidates with teaching experience in an international school environment are preferred.
    • Possess above average writing and oral skills with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and team skills.
    • The candidate must be committed to helping children learn effectively in a secured environment.
    • Must be an enthusiastic, imaginative, and energetic individual capable of bringing out the full potential of each child.
    • Must be computer savvy, well-groomed with the use of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other learning platforms
    • Applicants must have good writing and oral skills as this will be tested.
    • The candidate must be able to build children’s vocabulary.
