    Accountant

    Job Summary

    • As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial
    • operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with organisational policies,
    • and adherence to relevant regulatory standards. Your role will also involve financial tracking,
    • reporting, payment processing, and collaboration with the administrative team to enhance
    • transparency and accountability in the foundation’s financial practices.

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Management & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate financial records by categorising expenses into appropriate cost centres, such as administrative. costs, programme expenses, and event costs.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports, including reconciliations, past and current expense records, and quarterly financial summaries for review.
    • Prepare and present the foundation’s yearly financial reports, ensuring they provide a comprehensive overview of financial activities.
    • Ensure the reconciliation of financial records with bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.
    • Monitor cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for operational needs.

    Document Management & Internal Controls:

    • Establish and manage a secure digital filing system (e.g., Google Drive) for financial documents, ensuring all receipts, invoices, and supporting documents are properly organised and accessible.
    • Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of all transactions, including petty cash expenses and major purchases.
    • Develop and maintain quarterly categorised reports for enhanced financial clarity and audit readiness.
    • Transition financial processes from informal methods to a structured system with robust documentation and internal controls.

    Account & Payment Management:

    • Serve as a signatory to the organisation's accounts, ensuring all transactions are authorised and documented.
    • Initiate and oversee payment processes in collaboration with the account officer, maintaining professional and transparent communication.
    • Ensure timely submission and verification of receipts for all financial transactions.
    • Investigate and document explanations for any missing receipts, understanding that non-compliance may impact performance evaluations.

    Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with the foundation’s financial policies and applicable regulatory standards.
    • Identify and address potential financial risks, providing solutions to mitigate their impact.

    Collaboration & Strategic Support:

    • Collaborate closely with the administrative team to ensure seamless financial workflows and effective communication.
    • Support the foundation's efforts to enhance operational efficiency, accountability, and transparency in financial management.
    • Provide input and guidance on budget planning and financial forecasting.

    Data Protection & Confidentiality:

    • Uphold strict confidentiality standards when handling all financial information.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a non-profit or social impact organisation.
    • Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA or in progress) is an advantage

    Social Media Manager

    Job Description

    • As the Social Media Manager, you will be a vital part of the support system for the company. Your responsibilities will include managing the company's three (3) social media presences, and overseeing social media campaigns.
    • Additionally, you will use Canva and other graphic design tools to create original video and text content, manage posts, and engage with followers. Your knowledge of the latest social media trends, creativity, and exceptional communication skills will be crucial to your success in this role.

    Key Responsibilities
    Content Creation and Management:

    • Develop comprehensive social media content strategies that reflect the organisation's objectives, ensuring each content aligns with overarching goals.
    • Produce high-quality graphics, videos, and written posts using tools like Canva and other graphic design platforms, ensuring all content is visually appealing and professionally crafted.
    • Plan and execute the timely release of posts across various social media platforms, optimising posting schedules to maximise audience engagement and reach.
    • Regularly monitor and analyse audience preferences, new technologies, emerging social media trends, and design tools to ensure content generated remains relevant and engaging.

    Social Media Management:

    • Respond to comments and messages, and foster discussions to build a vibrant and active online community.
    • Suggest and implement new features or initiatives to increase brand awareness and grow the online community.
    • Oversee the daily management of all social media channels, including Instagram, and tailor content to suit various platforms and target audiences.
    • Develop, manage, and track budgets allocated for social media activities, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
    • Serve as the primary contact for customers engaging with the brand on social media, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
    • Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all social media platforms to reinforce brand identity.
    • Select and curate high-quality images and visual assets that effectively communicate the brand story and resonate with the target audience.
    • Organise and maintain a content library of images, videos, and creative assets for ongoing and future use.

    Social Media Campaigns:

    • Plan, develop, and execute targeted social media campaigns aligned with marketing and business objectives.
    • Create campaign calendars, define key messaging, and coordinate content rollout across platforms.
    • Track and evaluate campaign performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align campaigns with product launches, promotions, and key business initiatives.

    Sales Support:

    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company products/services and ensure that all customer inquiries are answered accurately and promptly, providing a positive and informed customer experience.
    • Work closely with the sales personnel to align customer needs and expectations and deliver a cohesive customer experience.
    • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback. Follow up with potential and existing customers to ensure their needs are being met and to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
    • Collect and analyse customer feedback, sales data, and market trends to provide actionable insights to the sales and marketing teams.

    Data Protection and Confidentiality:

    • Uphold strict confidentiality standards when handling all executive and personal information.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.

    Qualifications

    • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years experience.
    • Previous experience as a Social Media Manager with a previous track record of building engaged communities.
    • A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms
    • Strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful caption to effective storytelling techniques.
    • Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas
    • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video) via graphic design tools such as Canva and others.
    • Strong communication and people skills.
    • Excellent organisational skills, time management and multitasking capabilities.
    • Discretion, reliability, and a professional appearance and demeanour.
    • Ability to collaborate and work in a team and independently.
