    Accountant

    Details

    • We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.
    • Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.
    • Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we're compliant with all tax regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage all accounting transactions
    • Prepare budget forecasts
    • Publish financial statements in time
    • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
    • Ensure timely bank payments
    • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
    • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
    • Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
    • Audit financial transactions and documents
    • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
    • Comply with financial policies and regulations

    Requirements

    • B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree with at least 2 years experience
    • Work experience as an Accountant
    • Preferably Female.
    • Must reside in the lekki-Ajah asxis of Lagos.
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
    • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
    • Experience with general ledger functions
    • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • Additional certification is a plus.

    Content Creator (Graphics)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead on the day-to-day management of our digital channels, creating inspirational, informative and engaging content.
    • Plan, produce and create a programme of digital content to be used across all our digital channels, increasing engagement with our audiences and stakeholders.
    • Develop creative ideas, suggest new innovative ways of delivering digital content and keep up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends.
    • Prioritize and schedule work effectively, anticipating problems and adjusting the allocation of resources and time accordingly.
    • Create graphical designs of engaging contents.
    • Contribute to and work with relevant teams and stakeholders to develop, manage and implement the digital side of integrated marketing campaigns.
    • Proofread as required.
    • Train and share knowledge with internal teams wherever possible to empower them to manage their own areas with ad-hoc support.

    Requirements

    • Educated to Degree level, ideally in Marketing or Communications, or significant experience of working in a digital marketing role.
    • A minimum of 2 years work experience.
    • Energy, enthusiasm and proven experience in producing digital content and digital best practice, preferably with a membership organisation.
    • Knowledge and experience in running digital marketing campaigns.
    • Strong creative skills and a keen eye for detail.
    • Experience developing and managing social media campaigns across channels such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, using tools like AgoraPulse / Hootsuite.
    • Understanding of digital analytics and metrics, their importance and the tools to monitor, manage and evaluate them, like Google Analytics and AgoraPulse / Hootsuite.
    • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and structure work schedules.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • graphics design skills.
    • Good proofreading skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.

    Marketing Accountant

    Job Description

    • This position is for a "Marketing Accountant" who will be responsible for marketing accounting functions for the Company’s assets. This position will interface regularly with Marketing, Treasury, Land and Legal.
    • The accountant will need to demonstrate strong problem solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills and a high level of initiative to realize department deliverables and goals within aggressive deadlines.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accounts receivable, and financial variance analyses for various assets.
    • Prepare Requisitions, payslips, account reconciliations, and financial variance analyses for various assets.
    • Execute, distribute and analyze monthly allocations.
    • Monitor and clear account receivable.
    • Work with Regulatory Accounting on State and Federal Royalty and Tax payment compliance.
    • Attend to clients on the field.
    • Act as a liaison between management and internal/external audit teams to support the quarterly review and annual audit requests.
    • Support process improvements and optimize efficiencies in the accounting and reporting areas, including elimination or streamlining of manual or non-effective tasks.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related degree
    • 3 years of experience in Accounting in related field.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills
    • System savvy and ability to work with different applications and databases.
    • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines
    • Willing to work after hours as needed in order to meet deadline.
    • Highly proficient in advanced MS Excel, google sheets and google docs.
    • Experience with Access databases/SQL preferred
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
