Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic accountant  to join our team. As the Accountant, you will be a key player in our finance department, responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing critical financial insights. Your expertise will help us make informed decisions, manage our resources effectively, and achieve our financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.
• Record and categorize all financial transactions, ensuring data accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Generate and present regular financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• Contribute to budget development and management.
• Offer financial analysis and insights to support budgetary decisions and forecasting.
• Calculate and prepare tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and assist in tax planning.
• Support internal and external audits by providing financial data and documentation.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to protect financial data and assets.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Make recommendations for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ICAN IS an aded advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax codes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ethical and trustworthy behavior to maintain financial confidentiality.
