CBM has been supporting partners in Nigeria since 1968.
The country coordination office was opened in 1999.
CBM works with 16 partners to implement 25 programmes aimed at improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in Nigeria. These are coordinated by CBM’s West Africa Regional Office, through its Country Coordination Office located in Abuja.
The coordination office has a good relationship with partner organisations, and a reliable administrative infrastructure.
Working alongside other local and international NGOs, government and other stakeholders, in a bid to break the cycle of poverty and disability in Nigeria, CBM works through its local partners to implement the twin-track approach of empowerment and advocating for inclusion.
