Although the role is remote, the candidate must be based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and should be available to report physically when required

The Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain three company WordPress websites.
• Update website pages, text, images, documents, and other content as required.
• Upload, format, and publish website content accurately and professionally.
• Monitor website functionality, performance, and general user experience.
• Perform routine WordPress updates, including themes, plugins, and core updates.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic website errors, bugs, broken links, and functionality issues.
• Ensure websites are responsive and function properly across desktop and mobile devices.
• Perform basic website customization and layout adjustments.
• Monitor website security and implement basic security and maintenance practices.
• Conduct regular website backups and assist with website recovery when necessary.
• Optimize website content and basic technical elements for performance and SEO.
• Coordinate with management or other team members on website-related requirements.
• Respond promptly to urgent website issues and time-sensitive updates.
• Maintain proper organization of website content, media, plugins, and other website assets.
• Provide recommendations for improving website performance, usability, and appearance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, diploma, or relevant professional training in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field is an advantage.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience working with WordPress websites.
• Proven experience managing and maintaining multiple WordPress websites.
• Strong knowledge of the WordPress dashboard, themes, plugins, pages, posts, and media management.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience with website troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with website security, backups, and updates.
• Basic understanding of SEO and website analytics.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Must be reliable and responsive when urgent website support is required.
• Must be a resident of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
