The Wireline Field Engineer is required to possess a solid background in open-hole and cased-hole logging, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to ensure safe and efficient field delivery in line with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform service delivery, prepare field deliverables, and execute wireline logging operations (open-hole and cased-hole).
Conduct job planning, risk analysis, and resource preparation, ensuring compliance with company HSE standards.
Supervise crew and equipment both at the wellsite and base to provide logging and completion services.
Execute services such as Gamma Ray (GR), Resistivity, Caliper, Density, Neutron, Sonic, Spectral Gamma Ray, SP, DIT, AILT, and Cement Bond Logging.
Operate cased-hole tools independently, including Radial Bond Tool, Wireline Perforation, Casing & Tubing Cutter, Tubing Puncher, and Bridge Plug.
Capture and validate field data, ensure accurate job documentation, and obtain client acceptance of deliverables.
Troubleshoot downhole and surface equipment issues and provide technical support and decision-making at the wellsite.
Participate in Service Quality Meetings, develop action plans, and drive continuous improvement.
Develop strong client relationships and support technical proposals or program designs when required.
Maintain compliance with all company, client, and regulatory standards, including HSE and quality systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng/B.Tech) in Engineering, Physics, Geoscience, or related field.
5–8 years of relevant field experience in wireline logging (open-hole and cased-hole operations).
Valid industry-recognized certifications and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) qualifications.
Proven ability to manage crew operations and tool deployment in both onshore and offshore (including Deepwater) environments.
Experience in data acquisition, interpretation, and job reporting.
Excellent communication and leadership skills for team coordination and client interaction.
