Warehouse Manager at Makaiza Farms Limited

• We are seeking a results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehousing operations, ensure product quality, manage exports, and lead a dedicated team, including casual workers. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Warehousing and Quality Management: 

• Supervise the storage and quality control of cocoa beans, palm kernel nuts, and related products. 
• Ensure products meet all quality standards for local use and export. 

Export Compliance:

• Manage the export processes for all commodities, ensuring compliance with required standards and parameters. 

Weighbridge Oversight:

• Oversee the weighbridge operations to ensure accurate weight records for inbound and outbound commodities. 

Inventory Management:

• Monitor stock levels, maintain accurate inventory records, and implement efficient stock control systems. 

Team Leadership:

• Manage and develop team members, including casual workers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Delegate tasks effectively to ensure operational efficiency and team productivity. 

Safety and Compliance:

• Enforce safety and hygiene standards in warehouse operations. 
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and organizational policies. 

Reporting:

• Prepare and submit timely reports on stock levels, quality parameters, and export activities to senior management. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management in the agro-commodities or FMCG sector.
• Strong knowledge of commodity quality standards, especially cocoa beans and palm kernel nuts and its products. 
• Experience managing export processes and compliance with export regulations. 
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite. 
• Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
