    UI / UX / Graphics Designer

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a talented UI / UX / Graphics designer with infinite curiosity to create engaging creatives for a variety of media, Interface designs and also bring sight and sound together to tell a captivating story.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the design of offline event promotional materials, control the brand tone of the event, and achieve visual marketing success for the product.
    • Work closely with the design team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency and quality of designs.
    • Keep abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure our designs remain current and competitive.
    • Guide and mentor junior designers, helping them elevate their design skills and understanding of brand guidelines.
    • Utilize graphic design software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier-Pro) and other industry-standard programs.
    • Shoot and edit short and long-form videos for the organization’s website and social media accounts
    • Take charge of video ideation and creationand ensure videos meet the marketing team’s specifications and guidelines.
    • Video Production: Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality marketing videos that align with Andela's brand and marketing strategies.
    • Create and iterate on user interface designs, wireframes, and prototypes for web and mobile applications. Ensure designs align with the company's brand and user experience guidelines.
    • Utilize Figma to design and implement interactive animations, transitions, and micro-interactions to enhance user engagement and usability.
    • Collaborate with the product team to conduct user research and gather insights to inform the design process. Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to make data-driven design decisions.
    • Organize content and information to create clear and intuitive user journeys. Define site maps and user flows to ensure a seamless user experience.
    • Ensure that designs are responsive and adaptable to various screen sizes and devices, providing a consistent experience across platforms.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to ensure the successful execution of design projects.
    • Keep accessibility standards in mind when designing, making sure that designs are inclusive and compliant with accessibility guidelines.
    • Keep up to date with industry trends, design tools, and best practices. Share knowledge with the team and contribute to the improvement of the design process.
    • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
    • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designerand graphics designrole, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful design projects.
    • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development is a plus.
    • Utilize graphic design software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier-Pro) and other industry-standard programs.
    • Solid experience using video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Cap Cut etc.
    • Minimum of 2 years of professional video editing experience.
    • Ability to use audio editing tools like Adobe Audition, Audacity, etc.
    • Familiar with design creation tools Adobe Photoshop
    • Comfortable with social media edition tools like Canva, Capcut.
