Treasury Operations Officer at VFD Group

Job Summary

• Responsible for executing operational activities as relates to the Treasury Department of the Group which is typically in line with managing the group and its entities liquidity, acquiring funds for operational activities, and ensuring that funds are invested in a maximum returns /minimal risk exposure profile.

Responsibilities

• Provide solution for operational challenges on behalf of units/divisions/subsidiary on banking issues
• Ensure disbursement to clients’ account within the same day of presentation of approved documents.
• Ensure that Processing, COT, disbursement, Transfer and other applicable Fees are deducted upon disbursement.
• Ensure presentation of client’s cheques on due dates based on call memo advice
• Sort and maintaining a log of repayment cheques
• Send out daily Bank Statements to staff and active members per deadline and ensure timely investigation of unknown transactions
• Send out summary of Monthly Bank Statements to GEC per deadline
• Carry out Monthly reconciliation of Bank statement
• Account opening as approved by management.
• Manage relationships with Banks to ensure that maximum concessions are enjoyed, account mandates are always up to date and all necessary conversations are managed optimally.
• Carrying out bank runs for a smooth and seamless processing of inflows and outflows
• Managing operational activities for other related subsidiaries whose activities are managed centrally
• Prepare necessary reports as assigned by the treasury team
• Other duties as assigned

Specification / Qualifications
Qualification and Experience:

• First Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, or other related disciplines
• 3 years relevant experience of which at least two (2) years must have involved significant exposure to treasury operations functions.
