    Training Officer

    • We are seeking a highly organised and client-focused Training Officer to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of training and consultancy programmes. The role is responsible for developing and managing training calendars, supporting marketing and business development activities, coordinating training logistics, and serving as the primary point of contact for client enquiries.

    Key responsibilities

    • Plan, schedule, and support the delivery of training and consultancy programmes.
    • Develop and manage training calendars for public and in-house programmes.
    • Market programmes, source new training opportunities, and support proposal development.
    • Follow up leads and convert enquiries into confirmed training engagements.
    • Build and maintain relationships with corporate and institutional clients.
    • Coordinate training administration, logistics, and participant management.
    • Serve as the main contact for training enquiries and programme coordination.
    • Provide on-site and virtual support during training delivery.
    • Monitor programme quality, timelines, and operational effectiveness.
    • Administer evaluations and prepare post-training reports.
    • Track programme data, revenue, and performance metrics.
    • Maintain training records, databases, and documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with organisational standards and support continuous improvement.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Number of training leads generated and programmes secured.
    • Conversion rate of enquiries to confirmed trainings.
    • Revenue generated versus budget targets.
    • Number of repeat and referral clients.
    • Percentage of programmes delivered as scheduled.
    • Participant and client satisfaction ratings.
    • Timeliness and accuracy of training administration and logistics.
    • Average response time to client enquiries and quality of engagement.
    • Quality and timeliness of post-training reports and records.
    • Contribution to team targets, innovation, and organisational growth.Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
    • Knowledge of adult learning principles, training design, and programme delivery.
    • Understanding of training marketing, business development, and consulting operations.
    • Competence in monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and basic revenue tracking.
    • Strong organisational, coordination, and programme management skills.
    • Ability to write proposals, prepare reports, and communicate professionally with clients.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and virtual training platforms.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Client-focused, detail-oriented, results-driven, and solution-minded.
    • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and demonstrate integrity and teamwork.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Educational and Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Management, Business Administration, HR, Economics, or a related field.
    • Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in Training, HR, or Learning & Development is an added advantage.
    • Relevant professional certifications (ToT, CIPM, SHRM, ATD, Project Management) are desirable.
    • Minimum of five (3) years’ experience in training coordination, learning and development, consultancy, or business development.
    • Proven experience in a corporate or institutional training environment.
    • Experience in training marketing, sourcing, or proposal development is an advantage.
    • Experience in financial services, microfinance, or development work is a plus.
