ROLE OVERVIEW

• As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the integrity, compliance, and effectiveness of all technical activities within the laboratory. You’ll play a pivotal role in upholding our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, mentoring staff, and ensuring all laboratory processes meet the highest quality and technical standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and update standard test methods and ensure technical compliance across departments.
• Drive the implementation and monitoring of accreditation body requirements.
• Support laboratory staff in resolving technical challenges and implementing best practices.
• Maintain and improve the laboratory’s quality management system.
• Review and update management documents, technical SOPs, forms, and work instructions.
• Evaluate staff technical competencies and approve training requirements.
• Participate in the development of the laboratory’s Quality Manual.
• Review and approve test reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Promote staff awareness of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards and ensure quality policy implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• A first degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science/Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A second degree and relevant professional certifications are added advantages.
• Hands-on experience across wet chemistry, instrumentation, and microbiology.
• Solid knowledge of analytical instruments such as GC, LC, FTIR, AAS.
• Experience in drug analysis is highly desirable.
