Team Lead, Secondary Market & Retail at Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group)

Job Summary

• We are looking for an individual who is well versed in managing fixed income product lines, with expertise in bond pricing/marketing that can create an increase in listings..
• S/he will lead the Secondary Market and Retail unit, supervising reviews and restructuring of existing products, deliveries and new creations to serve both local/international buyers/participants. 

Responsibilities 

• Responsible for unit revenue line and ensuring success of all products traded on NGX Boards;
• Oversight function for day-to-day management of the Secondary Market & Retail unit;
• Develop and maintain relationships with market participants and relevant external/internal stakeholders;
• Responsible for all product management responsibilities, including provision of appropriate support and information to executive management;
• Oversee all product management activities, including; product initiation, planning, assessment, benchmarking and launch;
• Coordinate between various business units within NGX Group in relation to the Secondary Markets functions;
• Support NGX projects, providing key input into project processes, ensuring there are no risks involved in the projects;
• Supervise review, restructuring/enhancement of existing products and creation and delivery of new products;
• Analyse new product ideas in conjunction with institutional/wholesale distribution and marketing firms to determine success potentials and uniqueness within industry;
• Understand product profitability goals and provide inputs to appropriate financial areas;
• Serve as gatekeeper, ambassador and product line expert to internal/external parties.

Person Specification & Required Qualification (s)

• HND/Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative or Business related areas;
• 7 years’ cognate post NYSC experience in Financial Services, Investment, Product Management/Marketing and Distribution related role or industry;
• Professional certification(s) CIS, CFA and an MBA or MSc will be an advantage;
• Strong strategic planning and analytical skills;
• Ability to see the “big picture” from a marketing, positioning and industry perspective;
• Analyses issues to identify the most appropriate solutions.
