Tax & Treasury Accountant at Inq

Principal Accountabilities/Objectives :

Tax Function

• Providing information for tax audits and transfer pricing audit
• Computation and Filing of WHT & VAT monthly return
• Filing of company income tax
• Ensure Tax clearance certificate is obtained timely
• Provision of documents during tax and transfer pricing audit
• Posting of transaction in the accounting software of tax GL accounts
• Assist the tax manager in liaising with the various tax consultants
• Month end Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Supervise the work of the tax accountant
• and other tasks as assigned by the manager

Treasury Function

• Managing Bank relationships
• Monthly and Quarterly Cash forecast
• Regular payments to local vendors per ageing report
• Review advance request and retirement
• Daily bank balance report
• Salary payment booking
• Quarterly bank mandate audit
• Monitoring of Bank position and reporting
• Monthly payments for foreign & local vendors
• Processing net off documents and other tasks as assigned by the manager

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competency requirements:

• The job holder must have a Degree (preferably in Accounting) with a minimum of 5 years’ post NYSC
• experience especially in a relevant finance function. Possession of ICAN/ACCA certificate will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of Tax environment
• Sound Treasury skills
• Exceptional analytical problem solving skills and pays attention to details
• Membership of CITN
