    Summary

    • The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)
    • Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

    Duties

    • The incumbent provides logistical support and coordination between the Embassy and Nigeria for the $2 million plus Anti-Terrorism Assistant (ATA) Special program for the Embassy Augmentation Response (SPEAR) - Nigeria. 
    • S/he maintain SPEAR facilities and accounts for the equipment used for the Quick Reaction Force and liaises with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and other security partners. 
    • S/he assists the SPEAR Mentor with all the related activities to include support of visiting SPEAR Instructors, Reports to ARSO.

    Qualifications and Evaluations
    Education Requirements:

    • Two years College or University studies is required.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of seven (7) of prior work experience in administration, logistics, personnel management, project implementation and/or coordination with law enforcement, military, judicial or international organization is required.

    Job Knowledge:  

    • Must be familiar with Nigerian civilian security organizations, U.S Embassy missions and functions.

    Skills and Abilities: 

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. 
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with persons at all level of government and the private sector. 
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at same time is required. 
    • Must have a valid Nigeria driver's license. 

    Evaluations:

    • This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.

    Language:  

    • Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing English is required.

    Agency Benefits:

    • Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Abuja, Nigeria may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
    • For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
    • The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
