About Us

Chion Family Medical Centre is a patient-centric healthcare facility in Lagos dedicated to delivering accurate diagnostics and compassionate clinical care. Our imaging unit plays a vital role in patient diagnosis, and we are currently looking for a skilled, patient-oriented Medical Sonographer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound scans, including obstetric, gynecological, abdominal, pelvic, small parts, and vascular examinations.
• Provide clear, detailed, and accurate preliminary sonographic reports to aid clinicians in patient diagnosis.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients compassionately, ensuring their comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the process.
• Operate, maintain, and ensure the regular calibration of ultrasound equipment, reporting any technical faults immediately.
• Collaborate closely with medical doctors and the nursing team to optimize patient care and management timelines.
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records and manage imaging data in compliance with clinical guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Medical Radiography/Ultrasound, or a certified Sonography program from a recognized institution.
• Licensing: Active registration and valid practicing license with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) or equivalent professional body.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience as a practicing sonographer, with strong proficiency in obstetric and abdominal scans.
• Skills:
  • Excellent visual acuity and anatomical recognition skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle patients with empathy.
  • High level of professional integrity and confidentiality.
• Location: Proximity to the Maryland, Ikeja, or Gbagada axis is highly preferred.
