    Senior Medical Consultant

    Job Summary

    The Senior Medical Consultant will play a strategic role in driving business growth by promoting company's healthcare solutions to hospitals, pharmacies, HMOs, corporate organizations, diagnostic centers, clinics, and other healthcare stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, leading complex sales engagements, mentoring junior consultants, and contributing to the company's commercial strategy. This role requires a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record in healthcare sales or business development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand Lara's Medic Aid's market presence.
    • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, laboratories, HMOs, corporate organizations, government agencies, and other key healthcare stakeholders.
    • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing client accounts.
    • Conduct high-level presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative meetings with executive decision-makers and healthcare professionals.
    • Negotiate and close partnership agreements and commercial contracts.
    • Achieve and exceed assigned revenue, sales, and client acquisition targets.
    • Provide expert consultation to clients on Lara's Medic Aid's healthcare solutions and recommend services that meet their organizational needs.
    • Lead market research initiatives by gathering competitor intelligence, customer insights, and emerging industry trends to support strategic decision-making.
    • Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, business performance reports, and market analyses.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client onboarding, implementation, and ongoing customer satisfaction.
    • Mentor and support Junior Medical Consultants by providing coaching, field guidance, and best practices for client engagement and sales performance.
    • Represent Lara's Medic Aid at industry conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and professional healthcare forums.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all client interactions. R

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Public Health, Biological Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, healthcare consulting, healthcare business development, or a similar client-facing role.
    • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing strategic healthcare accounts.
    • Strong understanding of the Nigerian healthcare system, healthcare financing, and medical service delivery.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proven ability to develop long-term business relationships with healthcare professionals and executive-level decision-makers.
    • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service orientation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
    • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territories.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience managing key accounts within hospitals, HMOs, pharmaceutical companies, or healthcare organizations.
    • Leadership experience, including mentoring or supervising junior team members.
    • Strong commercial acumen and business development expertise.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a high-performing team.
    • Knowledge of healthcare technology solutions and digital health services is an added advantage.
    • Established professional network within the Nigerian healthcare industry is highly desirable.
