As the Solar Panel Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all solar panel systems.
This role involves monitoring and optimizing the performance of solar panels, troubleshooting any issues that may arise, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the solar energy generation process.
The Solar Panel Operator will play a crucial role in supporting Nedcomoaks' and its’ subsidiaries' commitment to sustainable energy practices.
Core Job Responsibilities
Monitor and operate solar panel systems to ensure optimal performance and energy generation.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to solar panel systems, including electrical, mechanical, or software issues, and Implement appropriate solutions to minimize downtime and maximize energy production.
Continuously monitor the performance of solar panels, analyzing data and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Adjust system settings as necessary to optimize energy output and efficiency.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with solar panel systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and any repairs or modifications made.
Prepare reports on system efficiency, energy production, and any incidents or issues encountered.
Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to coordinate maintenance schedules, implement upgrades or modifications, and ensure smooth operations.
Stay updated with industry advancements in solar panel technology and best practices for operation and maintenance and provide training to other team members as needed.
Academic Qualification
A minimum of B.Sc in Engineering or a related field
Technical certification in solar panel installation or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience in operating and maintaining solar panel systems is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, renewable energy principles, and safety protocols.
Proficiency in using monitoring software and tools for solar panel systems.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks associated with maintenance activities.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
