Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Studies Teacher to join our educational institution.

The Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for:

• Planning, preparing, delivering and engaging social studies lessons to students,
• Fostering their understanding and appreciation of historical events,
• Cultures, and civilizations.

Requirement:

• The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of history,
• Excellent communication skills, and a commitment to inspiring and motivating students.
• Bachelor\'s degree in Social Studies, Education, or any related field. A master\'s degree is preferred.
• Teaching certification or license in Social Studies.
• Proven experience teaching Social Studies, 
• In-depth knowledge of historical events, civilizations, and cultural developments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes.
• Knowledge of Cambridge Standard will be an added advantage.
• An Education qualification/certification is highly preferred
• Certification in IGCSE.
• Ability to teach the WAEC, IGCSE and Checkpoint curricula
• Cognate experience in preparing learners for external examinations.
