Social Media Manager at Global Youth Skills Acquisition & Poverty Eradication Organization (GYSAPEO)

Job Summary 

Global Youth Skills Acquisition and Poverty Eradication Organization (GYSAPEO) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Social Media Manager to lead our digital engagement efforts. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with a passion for youth empowerment, poverty eradication, and skills acquisition. This role is pivotal in amplifying our mission through compelling content, data-driven strategies, and impactful social media campaigns. The Social Media Manager will drive brand awareness, promote community engagement, and ensure consistent messaging across all digital platforms. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Develop, implement, and optimize a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand visibility and engagement across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.
2. Produce high-quality, engaging content (text, graphics, video) that aligns with GYSAPEO’s mission and resonates with target audiences. 
3. Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and refine strategies. 
4. Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and facilitate meaningful interactions to strengthen online presence.  
5. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging. 
6. Stay abreast of emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge. 
7. Plan and execute paid social media campaigns, including budget allocation and performance tracking. 
8. Support project launches, partnerships, and organizational events through targeted social media initiatives. 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

1. 3+ years in social media management, digital marketing, or a related role. 
2. Expertise in social media platforms (Meta Suite, LinkedIn, TikTok, X/Twitter) and management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Canva, etc.). 
3. Strong copywriting, storytelling, and data analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into action. 
4. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
5. Basic graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) or video editing skills are advantageous. 
6. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
