    Shuttering Foreman

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for supervising and coordinating formwork (shuttering) activities in construction projects.
    • Oversee the installation, alignment, and dismantling of shuttering/formwork for concrete structures (slabs, beams, columns, walls, foundations, etc.).
    • Ensure that all formwork is done as per engineering drawings, specifications, and safety guidelines.
    • Coordinate with carpenters, steel fixers, and concrete workers to ensure smooth workflow.
    • Inspect formwork before pouring concrete to ensure structural stability and proper alignment.
    • Identify and rectify any defects or misalignment in the formwork system.
    • Work closely with site engineers, civil supervisors, and concrete teams to maintain progress.
    • Monitor the condition of formwork panels, supports, and scaffolding to avoid damage.
    • Maintain daily progress reports and submit updates to the Site Engineer/Construction Manager.
    • Keep records of material consumption, workforce deployment, and equipment usage.
    • Strong knowledge of formwork systems (traditional timber, steel, aluminum, PERI, DOKA, etc.).
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant trade certification is an advantage.
    • Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Shuttering Foreman or Formwork Supervisor.
    • Experience in concrete works and understanding of load-bearing structures.
    • Experience in large-scale civil and infrastructure projects (bridges, high-rise buildings, water treatment plants, etc.)
