Senior QHSE Officer at BluePro HR Consulting Services Nigeria Ltd

The ideal candidate will hold a university degree and/ or Higher National Diploma in Marine Engineering and technology, Mechanical Engineering, or other related area and hold the relevant QHSE qualifications including an internationally recognized safety qualification, e.g. NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent. The candidate should also have keen knowledge of Inspection techniques in Oil, Gas and Industrial sector, and knowledge of engineering dynamics.

The job holder will:

• Support the development and management of the company’s Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality (HSSEQ) policies and systems in line with the requirements of statutory bodies.
• The Snr. QHSE Officer will make significant impact in HSSEQ performance improvement drives through the implementation of HSE and Security control measures for injury free activities.
• Manage incidents - Investigate, report, and advise on preventive and/or corrective actions.
• Monitor and assist with all QHSE related matters such as ISO requirements, inspections, audits, and all supporting documentation. 
• Manage and report on all internal and external audits (ISM, ISO, OVMSA, Client and other parties); follow up and report on all audit closeouts.
• Report on health and Safety Awareness issues and statistics.
• Be part of the company’s Emergency Response Team or Disaster Recovery Team in the event of an incident.
• Ensure all safety trainings are carried out and induction programmes for new employees include a thorough QHSE element.
