Senior Project Accountant / Finance Manager – Engineering & Construction at African Industries Group (AIG)

Summary

• We are seeking accomplished finance professionals with extensive leadership experience to drive financial performance, governance, and strategic decision-making across our business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project budgeting, costing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Monitor project profitability and cost controls.
• Partner with project managers, engineers, and quantity surveyors.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and statutory reporting.
• Supervise and develop project accounting teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in construction or engineering project accounting.
• Strong knowledge of contract accounting and percentage-of-completion reporting.
• Excellent financial analysis and project control skills.
• ICAN, ACCA, or ACA qualification is mandatory.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and the Nigerian tax and regulatory environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
