The Senior Programme Officer (Education) will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, technical expertise, and oversight in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Neem Foundation’s education initiatives. The role will focus on ensuring access to quality education, improving learning outcomes, teacher training, and strengthening education systems in line with Neem’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of education programmes and projects.
Develop and adapt training curricula, teacher support models, and innovative approaches to improve learning outcomes.
Provide technical guidance to programme staff, partners, and stakeholders on education-related initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, donors, and education stakeholders at national and sub-national levels.
Coordinate monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on education programmes to measure impact and ensure accountability.
Contribute to resource mobilization, including proposal writing and donor engagement, to sustain and expand education initiatives.
Represent Neem Foundation in education networks, coalitions, and advocacy platforms.
Supervise and mentor junior programme staff working on education projects.
Qualifications and Requirements
Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience in education programme management, preferably with NGOs, international development agencies, or education institutions.
Strong understanding of Nigeria’s education sector, policies, and challenges.
Proven experience in teacher training, curriculum development, or education system strengthening.
Demonstrated experience in programme design, fundraising, and donor reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
