    Finance Officer

    Job Summary:

    • The Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations. The ideal candidate will assist in budgeting, financial reporting, and day-to-day financial management activities, contributing to the efficiency and integrity of the finance function.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Handle day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
    • Support payroll preparation and related financial documentation.
    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets in collaboration with relevant departments.
    • Prepare periodic financial reports in compliance with internal and external requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support audit processes.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.
    • Keep abreast of financial regulations, tax laws, and best practices relevant to the organization.
    • Liaise with banks, vendors, and relevant regulatory bodies as needed.
    • Support donor reporting and project accounting activities (if applicable).
    • Contribute to improving the internal control environment and promoting financial accountability.

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Professional certification such as ICANACCA, or CPA is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting.
    • Working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and IFRS.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems).
    • Strong skills in MS Excel and basic financial analysis.
    • Good organisational and communication skills.
    • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in a donor-funded or non-profit organisation is a plus.
    • Familiarity with project finance and multi-currency accounting is an advantage.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Senior Programme Officer – Education

    Position Summary

    • The Senior Programme Officer (Education) will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, technical expertise, and oversight in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Neem Foundation’s education initiatives. The role will focus on ensuring access to quality education, improving learning outcomes, teacher training, and strengthening education systems in line with Neem’s mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the design and implementation of education programmes and projects.
    • Develop and adapt training curricula, teacher support models, and innovative approaches to improve learning outcomes.
    • Provide technical guidance to programme staff, partners, and stakeholders on education-related initiatives.
    • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, donors, and education stakeholders at national and sub-national levels.
    • Coordinate monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on education programmes to measure impact and ensure accountability.
    • Contribute to resource mobilization, including proposal writing and donor engagement, to sustain and expand education initiatives.
    • Represent Neem Foundation in education networks, coalitions, and advocacy platforms.
    • Supervise and mentor junior programme staff working on education projects.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience in education programme management, preferably with NGOs, international development agencies, or education institutions.
    • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s education sector, policies, and challenges.
    • Proven experience in teacher training, curriculum development, or education system strengthening.
    • Demonstrated experience in programme design, fundraising, and donor reporting.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.

    ICT Teacher

    Overview

    • As a teacher, your primary role will be to teach and educate the pupils on the subject area you are engaged with. You will inspire, motivate and encourage enthusiasm in the learners and guide them to make a positive impact in their communities.
    • You will deliver engaging lessons to diverse groups of students. 

    Qualifications 

    • Minimum Qualification: BSc or B.Ed degree holder in Computer Science
    • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience

    • To plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events.

    Requirements

    • Thorough knowledge of the specialised subject area; English Language
    • Demonstration of experience of teaching practices and a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures.
    • Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
    • A certified teaching apprenticeship or training would be advantageous.

    • Tawheed (Unity of Allah)
    • Basic Beliefs of Islam
    • Morals and Ethics in Islam
    • History (The Seerah and the lives of notable personalities from Islamic History e.g., Lessons from the stories of Allah’s Prophets and their companions. 
    • Fiqh of ‘ibaadah (Essential Practices) 
    • Qur’anic studies, which covers the following elements:
    • Qur’anic recitation and Tajweed (rules of its recitation) 
    • Hifdh (memorization)
    • Understanding its meaning (through a basic approach to the Tafseer of the verses).
    • Arabic proficiency is preferred but not compulsory.
