Senior Manager, Business Solutions and Recoveries, West Region at Stanbic IBTC

To drive and facilitate robust end-to-end Business Solutions and Recoveries (“BS&R”) services for distressed credit management across West Africa (currently including Ghana, Nigeria and Angola). Primary focus areas:

• Assist in developing and delivering on the Africa Regions BS&R strategic plan for West Africa to ensure alignment to the Group Risk and BCB Strategy.
• Provide specialist input into the BS&R framework for West Africa, which includes the strategy, structure, governance, processes, culture and technological infrastructure, assisting in the translation of the strategic intent and vision into medium term objectives.
• To provide specialist advice in the restructuring of distressed exposures, and the recovery of defaulted exposures in terms of the BS&R group mandate.
• Serve as a member and Chair various Africa Regions and Regional Committees and provide Regional insights where required.
• Facilitate engagement and collaborative relationships with BCB Regional BS&R, Business and Credit stakeholders to ensure appropriate and strategically aligned BS&R execution across the Region.

The preferred location for a successful incumbent is West Africa (Ghana or Nigeria).

The role requires an experienced risk / debt structuring professional with proven financial capability and knowledge of the full dimensions of Credit, Business and Commercial Banking and Corporate and Investment Banking, gained from a track record of 10 years, part of which is spent in an influential position. Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders in leadership positions is essential. Experience in collaboration across different Africa Regions is preferred. End-to-end deal structuring including extensive legal knowledge required.
