    Senior Geoscientist

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in exploration, development, or production geoscience within the oil and gas industry.
    • Strong proficiency in seismic interpretation, geological modeling, and reservoir characterization.
    • Expertise in geoscience software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom, GeoGraphix).
    • Experience in basin analysis, sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology.
    • Proven ability to assess and mitigate subsurface risks in exploration and development projects.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with deepwater, offshore, or unconventional reservoirs.
    • Knowledge of machine learning applications in geosciences.
    • Membership in professional organizations (e.g., AAPG, SEG, SPE).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead geoscientific studies to assess hydrocarbon potential in exploration and development projects.
    • Integrate geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data to enhance reservoir characterization and well placement strategies.
    • Interpret seismic data and generate geological models for prospect evaluation.
    • Assess subsurface risks and uncertainties in exploration and field development planning.
    • Develop and present technical reports, maps, and reservoir models to stakeholders.
    • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior geoscientists.
    • Collaborate with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and drilling teams to optimize exploration and production outcomes.
    • Utilize advanced geoscience software for data interpretation, modeling, and analysis.
    • Support decision-making in new ventures, acreage evaluations, and farm-in/farm-out opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental policies, and safety standards.
    • Stay updated with emerging geoscience technologies and best practices in hydrocarbon exploration.
