As the Senior Bid Manager in the Bid Management Team, you will support the development of winning proposals to deliver strong growth in our restricted funding pipeline.
In this role you will lead the bid development process for large complex institutional grants and commercial tenders, working closely with key stakeholders including internal WaterAid colleagues in London and in-country, as well as external partners towards achievement of WaterAid's strategic programme objectives in priority countries.
You'll also:
Support or coordinate the project design process
Work with country finance teams to build and review project budgets that reflect the technical design
Design and deliver training to strengthen capacity of colleagues in Country Programmes and regional teams in proposal development
Support the global restricted funding community of practice, developing tools and processes, and advocating for industry best practice
About You:
Significant experience as a bid manager, ideally with a track record of successful bidding for development projects in low-income countries
Experience negotiating with partners in complex consortia
Experience developing and negotiating proposal budgets
Ability to design and deliver training, and help embed practices across a complex organisation
Excellent business acumen and ability to influence others
