Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer(LLM) at iRecharge Tech-Innovations

THE ROLE

• We are looking for a Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer to join our engineering team and help build the next generation of intelligent fintech infrastructure.
• You will design, develop, and deploy Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI systems across payment processing, fraud detection, customer intelligence, risk assessment, operational automation, and customer support.

This is not a traditional ML role.

You will be working on AI agents and specialized AI experts capable of reasoning over business context, using enterprise tools, orchestrating multi-step workflows, and autonomously resolving complex operational problems.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ONMachine Learning & AI

• Build and deploy ML models for fraud detection, risk assessment, transaction intelligence, anomaly detection, prediction, and customer insights.
• Apply statistical modelling, pattern recognition, deep learning, and modern AI techniques.
• Optimize models for production performance, scalability, latency, and cost.

Agentic AI & AI Experts

• Design and develop intelligent AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, tool usage, and multi-step execution.
• Build specialized AI experts for payments, wallets, transactions, customer support, fraud, risk, compliance, and operations.
• Develop multi-agent architectures where specialized agents collaborate to solve complex problems.
• Integrate agents with APIs, databases, MCP servers, internal tools, and enterprise systems.
• Build context-management, memory, retrieval, and knowledge architectures.
• Develop RAG systems, agent orchestration, routing, delegation, escalation, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Build guardrails that prevent unauthorized or unsafe AI actions.
• Develop evaluation systems for agent accuracy, reliability, latency, cost, tool usage, and task completion.

MLOps / LLMOps

• Build scalable ML and AI deployment pipelines.
• Implement model and AI lifecycle management, monitoring, observability, and automated evaluation.
• Monitor model drift, data quality, hallucinations, and agent behaviour in production.
• Establish CI/CD processes for models, AI services, prompts, and agent workflows.
• Optimize AI inference infrastructure for performance and cost.

ENGINEERING & ARCHITECTURE

• Design production-grade AI/ML services integrated with distributed backend systems.
• Contribute to the architecture of our centralized AI platform and reusable AI capabilities.
• Build highly available and fault-tolerant AI services.
• Integrate AI capabilities across our existing fintech and payment platforms.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and architecture decisions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, Algorithms, Statistics, and Machine Learning.
• Strong experience with Python and modern ML/AI libraries.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong understanding of neural networks, embeddings, transformers, and modern generative AI.
• Experience developing and deploying LLM-powered applications and AI agents.
• Knowledge of RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, agent orchestration, and AI evaluation.
• Experience deploying ML/AI systems into production.
• Strong understanding of MLOps / LLMOps and AI observability.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, and containerization.
• Experience with MCP or similar AI tool-integration architectures is highly desirable.
• Fintech, payments, banking, fraud, lending, or risk experience is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, architectural thinking, and mentoring skills.

• You'll help iRecharge move beyond isolated AI features toward a centralized, scalable AI platform capable of powering intelligent products and business processes across the organization.
• We're looking for someone who can build AI systems that aren't just intelligent, but reliable, secure, observable, explainable, scalable, and capable of taking meaningful actions through controlled agentic workflows.
