Senior Accountant at Genesis Group

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Close: Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing and reviewing complex journal entries and financial statements.
• Reconciliation & Analysis: Oversee account reconciliations, analyze financial data and trends to support strategic decisions, and maintain accuracy in the general ledger.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls, assisting with internal and external audits.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, bookkeepers, or assistants.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support management decisions.
• Operational Support: Handle complex accounting tasks, including fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and tax reporting. 

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Generally 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and, in some cases, tax regulations (GST, TDS).
• Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
• Certifications: ACCA/ACA
