Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified and experienced School Counselor to provide guidance and support to students, teachers, and parents. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing counseling programs, providing individual and group counseling, and collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure students' academic, social, and emotional success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive counseling programs to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing issues such as academic concerns, social relationships, and personal growth.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to identify students' needs and develop strategies to support them.
• Assist students in exploring their interests and options for higher education and careers.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to students, including those experiencing bullying, family problems, or mental health issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations and resources to support students' needs.
• Keep accurate records of counseling sessions, student progress, and program development.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees to promote student well-being and success.

Requirements

• A minimum of B.Ed Degree or B.Sc with PGDE certificate (or in view)
• TRCN certificate will be an additional advantage
• Minimum of 3 years cognate teaching experience in the Nigerian Curriculum
• Knowledge of the Cambridge Curriculum is an advantage.
