    Sales Manager, EPC Business

    Role Summary

    • Husk is seeking a Sales Lead who will be responsible for driving sales growth in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar EPC segment across Nigeria.
    • This role entails identifying business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, leading technical and commercial proposal development, and closing high-value EPC contracts in the solar and hybrid energy solutions space.
    • The individual should also be passionate about solving one of Nigeria’s most critical challenges – the energy access deficit.
    • This position provides the opportunity to join a growing team that is changing the face of rural electrification in many countries in Africa and Asia, including India, Nigeria, etc.

    Key Responsibilities
    Sales Strategy & Business Development:

    • Develop and execute a sales strategy to acquire and grow C&I clients across Nigeria.
    • Identify and qualify new leads in target industries (e.g., manufacturing, telecoms, agro-processing, hospitality, real estate, and healthcare).
    • Build a strong pipeline of commercial and industrial EPC projects, including solar PV, hybrid systems, and battery energy storage.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Engage with facility managers, CFOs, COOs, and technical decision-makers to understand energy needs and pain points.
    • Build long-term relationships with key clients, consultants, and developers.
    • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking platforms.

    Proposal Development & Technical Coordination:

    • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to develop and present technically and commercially sound proposals.
    • Ensure proposals are aligned with client requirements, regulatory frameworks, and cost targets.
    • Participate in technical and commercial negotiations.

    Closing & Execution Support:

    • Drive closure of EPC contracts with signed agreements and advance payments.
    • Collaborate with project execution teams to ensure smooth handover and project delivery.
    • Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline, performance metrics, and market feedback.

    Qualifications
    Required Skills & Attributes:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
    • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in B2B sales, with at least 2-3 years in solar EPC or renewable energy in Nigeria.
    • Proven track record of closing large EPC deals (500kWp – 2MWp range).
    • Strong network within Nigeria’s C&I segment and understanding of regulatory/policy environment.
    • Familiarity with technical components of solar PV systems and hybrid energy systems.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Strong commercial acumen and customer-centric mindset.
    • Technical literacy in solar EPC solutions.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
    • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and coordinate across internal teams.

    Location and Travel: 

    • This role is based in Abuja, Nigeria. Constant traveling is required to speak/meet with potential clients and convert for business goals.
